Acceleration for accord

Hey guys. How do i bring out the most power during accelelaration or from stop? Does jam,ming the accelerator helps?? or do i hold the brakes n rev to a high rpm n let the brakes go? Thanks

that will be a very stupid thing to do to your auto trans.

Means u step on the accelerator while pressing the clutch to about 4 - 6k revs then u release the clutch fast, this should cause the front or rear wheel tires to lose traction and wheelspin. It has to be done right for the car to launch at its fastest. This is not for a 4WD though, too much stress on the drivetrain.
Not too sure about auto cars but I did hear of using the brake and accelerator, but replacing it trans should something go wong will cause u a big bomb of cash. (P/s reving in Neutral and dropping to drive will also cause damage) -
but i tot mus half clutch? if not car stall?

hey i heard about the auto one... brake n accel... my fren tried it out on his EXi auto, dun work leh...
the other way is to put into neutral then rev up n pull into 1st.... he try b4, it works, but i think......... the tranny very fast die one lidat. -
it can be done for auto cars, but no matter which method, it'll wear out the trans. auto cars are not meant to be raced. manuals are the best, except when you're stuck in a $#$##$^ jam from bukit timah all the way to payar lebar yesterday evening! can feel my leg more muscular liao..

your right on the tranny, but I've known someone who launch an auto s15 who manage to get the optimum launch by brake and accl. Thats the thing, if done right the car will give some wheelspin then gain traction b4 moving. For the 4WD I find it hard to explain heh, hopefully someone can come up wif a explanation. -

i think what u guyz are talking about is launching when doing a drag race. most drag races does that to warm up the wheels and also when racing. i think 4wd also can do that becoz ive seen one hks drag meeting in a dvd and inside there is a gtr that does 4 wheels. the warm up will cause alot of burn out to the tires and there will be smokes emissing from the tires becoz of friction. but its damn cool to watch the drags. the fastest car is supra 0-400m in less than 7.5sec!

Ah lah mak ... you all ah ....
Simple step into wheel spin.
1. Manual Transmission
a.Engage gear 1 with clutch fully depressed
b.hold your accel pedal till amost 5 or 6
c.When you are ready then release the clutch fully (Fast)
d.Whola there is your wheel spin!
2.Auto Transmission
a.Find a clear road
b.put into R to reverse
c.start reversing at about 25 - 30km/h
d.once you are ready change into L or 1 then jam accel
(The reverse gears in auto is in the same drive train as L or 1 gear this way you will not kill your trans that quickly)
Don't ask how i know abit this reverse thingy, i blew 4 auto transmission on my dads corolla and i blew 3 on my friends Vento, it cost me 3k for the vento one and 2 k for the corolla one but good thing that work shop guys change the second and third one for free because my papa wanted to SUE him accusing him of changing a faulty gear box hee hee -
