  Anyone knows about this car?
  I've got an offer on this car
  
  coe till end yr 2000 (7yrs remain)
  omv around 25k
  mileage around 32,000
  
  anyone knows the initial cost?
  i was quoted 70k for it.... please advice....

  Not too sure abt the GDI 1.8l 1st hand price then, cos its not as popular as the 1.5GDI, which cost abt 76k for 1st hand.
  
  Anyway, the good thing abt the car is that it really has got very low mileage. But 25k OMV means the car only has abt 20k scrap value, so 50k for 7 years usage, will make it 7k plus depreciation a year. Somemore 1.8l means more expensive rd tax, is it worth it? Not sure abt the power of the car though.
  
  U might as well pay another 8k for a brand new 1.6l lancer. Lets say the scrap value is 13k, the car only depreciate 6k plus a yr, somemore its a brand new car.
  
  That's my advise. Also, I beleive if you ask for 68k for the lancer 1.8l, the seller might give in.

  hmm.... coe till 2010 u mean?
  the Touring version would indicate a higer range of the lancer... so its prob more ex.....
  anyway AA's guide for used cars lists a used lancer 1.8 GDI touring at $76k
