to what extent does local owners modify their cars ?

  i mean compared to US, anything that can be removed frm the chassis they also can mod.
  things that i didnt know got effect on performace also can be replaced.
  things that i didnt can be used on a car also got ppl install inside cars.
  
  so in sg, what do ppl change ?
  exhaust pipes ?
  turbos?
  brakes?
  bodykits?
  spoiler ?
  not taking into account lights...

  not taking into account lights...

  dun 4get drivetrain....like a driveshaft?? most common is exhaust.....turbos can upgrade if the car has one when it's stock...not add-on cos the approval frm LTA will take 1 year and it's not always approved most of the time

  bore out cylinders?????
  pistons/con rod?????
  crankshaft?????
  engine MAP?????
  clutch?????

  boring of cylinders is outright illegal and also changing of the engine block i think

  no he dun, but hes right... u CAN increase the bhp of your car.
  
  Anyway one thing not many ppl change are the brakes... my dad's Airtrek Turbo R will be getting AP Racing brakes soon... 4 pot fronts, 2 pot rears... he originally wanted to get 6 pot fronts n 4 pot rears... but thats a bit too powerful ah...
