Just wondering how much does a brand new integra type r cost in singapore inclusive of COE? Is a car worth buying?

worth Buying? well all i can say that the "DC" stands for Decent Coupe....no more than that...it's not great but it's decent...thats all i can say....and dun be suprised when u're outrun by cheaper cars....

high revving good handling , sweet engineering, naturally aspired tegs
good choice indeed, plus fun as hell to drive
lets face it toufu, not that many other makes can offer a car that does all that in a reliable affordable package
plus straight line drags are fun but they arent everything, ye want a cheaper faster car on a straight? go build yourself a vl commodore turbo with a big fat fuel guzzling engine , no class, cant corner for jack.... -

if you are just going for the looks and don't mind the hassle of changing the position of your seat every now and then, why not? It looks decent and cheap, you cant do much in Singapore rite? How fast can you go, corners? I don't think anyone will buy a car and drift around corners in singapore, that piece of metal is just too costly.. If i were you, i rather get a sporty sedan. Just imagine the hassle..

guess wad.... my cheaper Airtrek Turbo R Ralliart Edition beats it to 100km/h by over a second... and comfortably sits 4 with humongous luggage space too... AND carries the Ralliart badge, which imho is nicer than a Type R badge.

I sat in a Carlsson C320 b4... so im guessing the C32 AMG is similar. the 3 series with M3 engine IS the M3 right? lol... anyway the vanos is good i heard... i like the M3 quite a bit... theres one parked downstairs belonging to my neighbour. Anyway, the ultimate M3's gotta be the M3 GTR, the one with the V8 in it... -

but hey, the VR4 was wayyy b4 the Airtrek Turbo R... so its deserves my respect, like. I think if they could lighten it up, it'd be awesome... plus i love the long, low slung look. Wouldn't mind getting one either... in fact my dad was actually looking at the Galant VR-something, the one C&C is offering in Ralliart spec, but well, it wasn't the VR4... so he got the Airtrek Turbo R, and boy... is that car savage... one plus point: the full 343Nm of torque is available from 2000rpms onwards, while the VR4 with silghtly more torque at 362Nm, has to rev to 5000rpms. lovely. did i mention the nice leather Ralliart interior?

And Airtrek Turbo 0 to 100 km = 8.3 sec.
Airtrek Turbo R = 343Nm of torque @ 2000rpm, as quoted by autoextreme UK, the people who sell EVOs n Airtreks in UK. The quoted 0-100 time for the Airtrek Turbo R is 6s flat.
Galant VR4 = 362 Nm of torque @ 5000 rpm as quoted by the VR4 owners club in UK. The quoted 0-100 time for the VR4 is also 6s flat. -

10k is nothing to tofu's dad.... who did a 200k mod on his previous Merc E class and ended up with a sub 5 monster... -
ic, cos now i'm cosidering getting a 10 yr old bmw 320i coupe with vanos engine. checked the car and in good condition. price is good too, only 50k. but afraid to get old bmws. So i'm waiting to get my skyline r34 gtr on dec 2004. when i'm close to ORDing. Thats weird. The VR4 club of UK clearly states 6 seconds. so no one should be eating no one for bfast. Though I admit there was a mistake. 6.9 sec is for auto transmission !
Go and check out Mitsubishi Japan and see their torque figure for the airtrek turbo and it's 343Nm @ 3,500 rpm !!!
But so far, I've only seen VR4's eating Airtrek Turbos for breakfast, but not the other way round !

Another mistake. autoextreme quotes 343Nm @ 2500rpms. but its still not 3500rpms. don't forget car manufacturers like to be conservative on their quotes.

At most what we have here is a matter of different sources with diff specs. I've seen Airtrek Turbo R Specs anywhere from 6 to 8.3 secs, and the VR4 specs anywhere from 6 to 9.6s... (oh i actually saw a video of a VR4 doing 0-100 in 9.6!!! either the driver didn't know jack about launching a car, or the VR4 IS really too heavy... dude had 2 turbos in his car too...)
I would prefer to think theres not much to choose from among these 2 cars because one is old one is new, but both are from Mitsuibishi which is a brand i really love. the 1st car i rode back home from e hospital was a Mitsuibishi Galant, 83 model, year i was born... i cried at 10 when it was time to be scraped. I have known the 3 diamonds for as long as i have lived. The fact is both ARE wonderful cars, but new technology is a step over old tech, or else it wouldn't be called new would it. Maybe when mitsu pushes out the next gen VR4, it would be even more awesome. for now, the ultimate fast mitsu would be the EVO series, and theres a reason for that, that reason which is sitting pretty under the Airtrek Turbo R's bonnet too.
i haven't seen anyone eating anyone 4 b'fast because people i know in Galants and Airtreks are much more civilised u see, n feel less of a need to prove anything. -

the 10k mini upgrade kit is pretty basic anyways. just an example to roughly compare some aftermarket gains vs cost
not everyone mods with their daddys money anwyays, i'm jus a collage kid doing what he can wihtin his means, voice of the common ppl maybe?
