The other day I saw a bright yellow open top Triumph Spitfire 1500... Took my breath away... Anyone else into British 70s sports cars?
like i always say....power to weight ratio....the caterham is SUPER light...thats y it's stunningly fast and handles so well...lamborghini is heavy...thats the pt i'm trying 2 emphasize 2 those Integra nuts all long that its not fast in any aspectOriginally posted by bismarck:just a question, why is it that cars like the caterham r400 seems to be lamborghini gallardo in terms of performance in a car mag's review ?
when the caterham has only a 1.6l engine ? and the gallardo has a V8 ?

no... there are 2 sides to a coin... look carefully. the caterham may be faster 0-100, but then what decides top speed is often, bhp. a car with a higher bhp would in the end post a higher top speed. but on a circuit, u may not get the chance to reach top speed, esp if your accel is a bit slower. hence u see the r400 posting as good or even better lap times, but there will be some differences. also, the R400 is a specialised track day car u can drive on e road, while cars like lambo are sports cars meant to be driven on the road, hence coming with more ameneties like leather seats, air con, radio etc.Originally posted by bismarck:just a question, why is it that cars like the caterham r400 seems to be lamborghini gallardo in terms of performance in a car mag's review ?
