Cheap and hassel free parking in town ?

those of you who drive will know what i mean ...you drive down to orchard road, esp weekends....traffic jam like crazy. Many carparks are all full esp the popular ones like Suntec, Plaza Sing, Takashimaya, behind crown prince hotel, centrepoint , Shaw centre !! Can be really frustrating if your car is going round and round every floor and not being able to find empty lots.
So far, i managed to find out some cheap and quite empty parking in town .....
1) Car park at singapore Powers at Somerset. $1 after 6 pm on Sat and $1 on Sunday ! Not many people know this...sure can find lots one, guarantee!
2) Parkmall . $2 not so crowded
Any of you know of others ...pls recommend leh ...
for the good of all drivers !!

eh.. town no free parking one la.. government very chong ming de.
Usually i park at far east or taka..
But hate taka slope! Far East too cramp.
Or tangs? -
If i'm not wrong, there is actually a book that tells you where and when which carparks are cheap. But i guess not many people bothers about it.
For me, if i'm going to town, i will take public transport, cos really more convenient. Unless late at night, will drive. I hate jams! Especially when i cant find parking slots.
Btw... Somerset 1 always full leh.. -
the Singapore Power building at Somerset sure have ample space one..dont forget there is B2 as well. Perhaps the main advantage is that you can get to the building via Killiney Road there to get into the back entrance...in this way , you bypass the Orchard road jams.

Cairnhill Carpark? The one behind Crown Prince Hotel / Heeren.
Think after 6pm they charge per entry fee not hourly... -
that one quite hard to find empty lots one! try a few times before!

There are surely enough car park spaces.Weekend,most shopping centres charge per entry wat.
There are free parking places near town,but it's not wise to reveal them.Heh. -

the public carkpark near phoenix hotel and youth park is free after 10pm i think... on weekends.. weekday i donno.. -
good things must share mah...!!
