Kelisa good?

Have seem the 1 litre kelisa on the road. Any owner or friends who own this vehicle? Caret o post some comments on it? Maintainence, petrol, any problems.....
negative pointers are welcome. -
The car should be okie for normal usage on the road but not excessive.
Not too sure abt the petrol but the maintenance will be cheap cos you can actually go into M'sia for servicing, and that the spare parts there are over flowing.
But then, the shape of the car kinda copy Nissan March. -
hmm.. ya lor.
and i think the 2 tone color also copy abit of the new cooper from bmw -
well....... its basically paying for the cheapest set of wheels around lah... use it simply for transport and dun expect too much then ok loh...

Drove that car for a day in Langkawi...
I would say it's not worth the money here with the tax and coe...
Anyway, the car didn't have any noticeable problem when cruising at 110kph. It's also powerful enough to 'burn rubber' for a second or two. Not so sure about the price here but i believe it's around 50k...so why not consider Hyundai's car for a small budget? Accent is going for less than 60k. -

You may be rite. A few reasons:
Maybe its made in Malaysia.
Maybe becos when you drive into M'sia, you find your car is just like any of them in it.
Or even maybe, some feel its not worth paying for a car that's only worth half or even less of the value just across the causeway.
Reliability might be another factor. -
or maybe they are just paying more for a car which is basically the same as a daihatsu...only paying for the brand....just like the proton saga....which is a lancer...

actually u cant really say that. saga is definately very lancer, only thing is m'sia bought e technology frm misubitshi. proton is a national pride.(its actually a national project in malaysia)
But perodua is different. it is a direct subsidary (with a little m'sia govt shareholders of coz) of daihatsu (japan)
so i reckon QC standard are quite strict by jap's standard.
actually dun play play with a kancil(650cc) or kelisa(1000cc) on the roads, they sure can burn tons of rubber. pick up can easily beat a nissan sunny/corolla. maybe coz they are bladdy light and powerful.
i used to service my car in m'sia, guess wat, my mechanic told me a fully mod kancil(650cc) can easily beat a fully mod wira(1500cc) in 40 lamp post race. downside is cornering lose to bigger cars. -

I own a kelisa. Bought last AUG.
It's a pretty fun car, very economical. Fuel comsumption average 16+km per litre of shell 98. Top speed on the speedometer is 160km/h and Natasha(Name of my car) managed 130km/h on the highway to Malacca. No prob on that but dun get caught by the TP there.
Able to 'cup' the corner along lorong halus up TPE at about 50km/h max according to my lousy skill, got a feeling i'm being thrown out the door or the car gonna somersault...
Good servicing.... coz only about 600 perodua on the road..... the mechanics had the time to check everything.... will even wash, polish and vacuum car for you.
Value for money.... -

hmm... so how much did u pay for ur kelisa? and ur mthly installments?
it cost 55k when i bought it, mthly $555
over 10 years. But it cost 49,900 now so should be paying less if you get it now. Loan from HSBC at interest 2.25%.... quite reasonable.

boot space.... you can put 2 small suitcase into the boot with a little space left... there is a latch on the back seat where you can lower the back rest(forward) if you want to carry bigger stuffs.
As for leg room, head room.... my bro is 1.78m and had no prob driving Natasha around have not got into a nissan march so cannot really comment on that... but it looks about the same.
steering is good too.... manage to make the most impossible U-turns easy to park the car, especially parallel....
However, the car has odd cyclinder(3 cyclinder) instead of the normal even ones.... dunno what's the diff....
but i still see plenty of daihatshu charade arounds.... that means it should be ok right?? -

a friend got prob adjusting coz Natasha is small to her castrophobic standards

Why get a brand new car with a 3 cylinder engine?
There are plenty Charades around but don't forget they are all decade old ones,waiting to be scraped. -
my point is.... Natasha should be able to last 10 years like her cousins... the Charades....
well, i really dun know whats the diff btween a 3 or 4 cyc.... anyone can enlighten me??

From, what I heard 3 cylinder engine will vibrate more on the steering wheel when travelling at high speed as compare to the 4 cylinder -
I have own one EZI(Auto gear), A silver body with black top, quite cool. Always attract head turn by other drivers, someone ever asked me why my MINI have 4 doors.
The Pickup is great and power output is good. Doesn't feel like driving a 1000cc car -

whenever i see another kelisa on the road, it feels like seeing a long lost relative..... hee....
by the way, is there a keilsa club in singapore.... there is one in malaysia thou....
