I am new to cars. I am thinking of getting a kelisa or any other smaller cc car for transport purpose only. A new kelisa is about $50k+. Today my friend pop me an idea
"Why not you use a company name to register for a kangoo 1.9L diesel? Diesel is cheap also. Register a computer name only $100+ for 3 years"
Below are a few qustions i hope you can answer them.
1)Can those home office registered in HDB flats be used to buy a Kangoo?
2)Is the kangoo available only in 1.9L manual and 1.4L automantic only? (I found them in renault's site)
3)For the diesel model, is the maintainence high? As many have said diesel cars need more maintainence..
4)Whats the yearly insurance and road tax for both models? -

My friend and I also trying to get a van using this method.
But currently i am aiming at the partner, oso 1.9D...ya true, diesel is cheap and the partner i am aiming, according to the sales personnel, full tank can go 700+ km, some more diesel cheap cheap... aim is to travel for point A to point B. After all, a car is still a car..ooops, we looking at van.. kekekeee
My friend did register the company so now may b i am trying to use his company or i apply myself also but we check with the sale guys, he told us the company must be 6 months like that... anyone out there have any information?
Think the van cost ard 30k+, i guess we can pay out instalment at 300 to 400 depend on the downpayment + fuel may b 100 + parking 100. let me guide you some tips that i know.
Diesel is more cheaper...a bit more maintance to do.
Auto is run on petrol...not worth buying,if u run around alot.
Yearly insurance is abt $953.
Road tax is $400 after rebate by govt.
kangroo is abt 33.4k
monthly installment is abt 445
If u want to buy van,u must have registered company.Company fianace
must be strong.if u want to have high loan...got to see bank approval. -

Yup its easy to register a company, but I don't think your idea of using a new company to buy a van actually works.
Do you know that you have to submit yr yearly statement in your income tax report?
If you report too much, then you will have to pay quite a sum in income tax. And if you didn't report any, how are you going to justified your company/business buying a van?
I do believe they will check on you after the 1st yr. Do you wanna take such risk??? The person who set this rulings sure know what he/she is doing. -
Oh btw forget to add, if 50+k, how abt getting a Kia Rio?
My friend bought one in the middle of this yr for 57k, its a 1.5l, not the 1.3l somemore.
Not too sure abt the price now though, but guess you can check it out. -
hmmm.. thankx.. does any1 have a solid prove if a newly registered company can get a kangoo? And the pros and cons of it. Getting a kangoo seems a very very attractive way to get a cheap and good vehicle to go around.
But if like suay suay got caught, whats the fine like? Wat will happen? Any1 have tried this b4?
