alright man! hi-fi!Originally posted by wuming78:same for me too! i haf been eyeing this 2 cars.
but heard vios is much more crammed inside, although it looks much more presentable than the city.
For value for Money Honda City looks like a sound option, top notch fuel economy is a bonus too. Something worth considering esp in Singapore where the ratess of petrol is unrivally high.Originally posted by Axl:hi pple, need ur expert opinions..
been eyeing toyota vios for quite some time... for its looks, price and performance...
until price of honda city came down to $62k...
long heard of the reputation of honda engine... so it came into my car buying equation...
also heard of some downs to vios... mainly smell & weird sound coming from aircon...... hard to close boot...
but the chroomed aluminium steering wheel and 2 tone leather seat still tug at my heart string...
donno much abt honda city except heard its i-DSi engine rivals the toyota VVTI...
can someone help me solve this equation??
wow. if tts the case looks aside, city is the way to go man.Originally posted by Axl:both city and vios birthplace is thailand...
looks like both are positioned in the same exact market... young and the up and coming...
city is easier on the pocket... its $63,500 already include the leather seat... and its 5% downpayment is not as painful as borneo's 10%...
according to the SE's claim... the i-DSi engine will give as much as 16 - 17km per litre.. while VIOS VVTi is rumoured to be able to produce 14km..
i hope u r not jus doing research on how city beats vios, but oso how vios outperforms city too!Originally posted by Axl:thanks pple for sharing..
another point to look at...
City's OMV is $13k+ while VIOS is only OMV $11k+ ...
well definitely put VIOS at a disadvantage when selling?
no mah... just stating facts mah..Originally posted by wuming78:i hope u r not jus doing research on how city beats vios, but oso how vios outperforms city too!
if performance and price and fuel economy wise city is superior, who gives a darn abt the looks?! its not THAT bad rite?Originally posted by Axl:heard about lots of negative feedback on City's looks.. too wanna-be-hip... geena lah... no image of stability lah..... etc...
whats you guys take?
yes, the weird smell from the aircon is also present in my corolla. and the vios' engine is rather rough and it would be better to opt for the auto if u're going for the vios, cos it keeps the revs down.Originally posted by Axl:hi pple, need ur expert opinions..

wat abt a vios manual vs a city manual? im going for manual cars.Originally posted by KLZW:yes, the weird smell from the aircon is also present in my corolla. and the vios' engine is rather rough and it would be better to opt for the auto if u're going for the vios, cos it keeps the revs down.
i've not mentioned tht the auto version of the city has cvt, which has seamless and smooth gearshifts. so i conclude that the city is a better choice.
