hi people, i changing to a auto car soon.....just have some questions, cause i nv drive auto car before.....does anyone one know other then drive, park, reverse, neutral, there is these "2" and "L". does anyone know wat is this two for?
and also if you wan to stop your car fast like when you driving fast and suddenly see red light must stop fast....is it still put at drive or wat? cos manual car can change down to gear 2 so tt can stop faster....anyone can help? thanks -
L is for gear 1 and 2 for gear 2.
Alternatively, L can be use for upslope and 2 for downslope purposes.
For auto car, just jammed your brake to stop, don't need to change any gear you are in, like when u r in 'D'.
Relax, you will get use to the auto car in 2 days, I'm sure. -
soon you will really auto cars is so convinient to drive, one hand on the steering the other hand can be SMSing, drinking from can, putting on girlfriends lap throughout the whole journey!!

anyway heard auto car if the transmission system spoil very ex? is there any way to maintain it or make it dun spoil so easily?? -

Yr friend is rite. For most cases, using the 'D' is sufficient to drive an auto car ard.
For me, I only drop gear from 'D' to '2' is when I need extra torque for the car to overtake a car change lane in tight situation.
But I got to admit that its not good for the gear box if use it this way excessively. I got the habit of putting the car to 'N' upon red light also, which is also not good for the gear box. But so far, dun think all these had created any problems in my driving yrs till date.
An auto gear box will normally last you 10 yrs without problem, if not, guess no one is willing to buy an auto car liao. To maintain it, just remember to change the automatic transmission fluid regularly, like 20,000km-30,000km once.
So dun worry too much abt the spoilt gear box. Last but not leasy, yes its true that auto gearbox is more expensive than the manual one, and that's why they usually cost more than manual cars. -

maybe tie your left foot to the seat..
whenever i drive auto cars, my left foot goes out to search for the clutch and my left arm goes out to try and change gears.. -
