What do you guys think of about Tamiya 1/24 Scale Models?

Most of us have a passion for cars. No doubt about it. If you can't own the real thing, would you guys go and buy the models and fix one for collection or as a hobby? I'm still pondering whether to buy such models and build the cars as a hobby...
