  Greeting fellow car enthusiasts. Does anyone know of any local URL with comprehensive listings of used cars for sale.
  
  Also in SG, where is a good place to buy a used car?

  There is no such place as a 'good' place to buy used cars, cozz in every car mart, there are the 'evil' and the 'good'. More importantly, know your homework; once they realise they can't con you, you'll get your good deal.

  no prob.. my personal experience, dun jump into it.. promise yourself you'd spend, say, 4 wkends looking at cars only. no matter what 'good' deal you come across, resist the temptation becoz a better deal will come along...
  
  only when you feel that you know the 'mkt' rate real well, then start to consider buying..
  
  one thing to remember - it's a highly competitive industry, so if the deal sounds good, you bet there's some hidden cost you wun know..

  btw, what 2nd hand car would u buy with a budget of 55k? I was thinking of a 95-00 Civic VTi (ek series).

  actually it all depends on how much you are prepared to lose on the car, and what you value lah. i'm a practical person, just need a car to move arnd, low consumption, high paper value so that i can swop cars anytime i want couple of yrs down the rd...
  
  sorry to say, but i'd stay off hondas cos the body is not so solid and it's too exx for me.. i'm a sunny fan.. cheap cheap, good good..
