Still think that jap cars are the best, in terms of reliabitlity, and if they ever break down, are the cheapest in terms of maintenance. like the other day, i changed the air con coil on my sunny, the mechanic just opened the glove dept, took that section out and removed the part.
he was saying that if's its a european car, he'd have to take out the ENTIRE dashboard. picture the difference, and already, you know labour will cost more, not to mention the parts.
normal economics - higher the demand, the greater the supply, the lower the price.. and naturally, jap cars higher demand..

furthermore, unless you buy a parallel imported JDM model (which is not attuned to our tropical climate), all jap cars are designed for use in hot countries like south east asia, whereas european models are designed for temperate countries.. this means that they tend to overheat much faster (esp on a trip up north)..
juz try to remember those news clips you see on tv whenever you see a car burning up.. no prizes for guessing which brand.. it's always merc, bmw, even porche.. jap??? very rare...
