2nd Hand Cars to intro?

hi I am new to the forum. Just like to find out from you guys on 2nd hand cars... what sort of 2nd hand cars would you choose to buy if you have intentiont o get one? I was thinking of getting those cars that have a year to go befoe it is due for scarp.. what is your idea?

2nd hand cars i'd go for usually european brands....cos they are usually more lasting....maybe a VW golf,passat...of coz 4 me if got Mini then I'd take it lar

err.. but i tot servicing of uropean of cars are more ex then japanese cars? is that true?

Really depends on your budget, a civic Vti wif about 7 yrs left would go for about 70k odd, I personnally would go for a 1.5 - 1.6 L jap car e.i the 323, lancer or civic.

When you send the car for servicing at C&C it will already cost an arm and a leg. Still think that jap cars are the best, in terms of reliabitlity, and if they ever break down, are the cheapest in terms of maintenance. like the other day, i changed the air con coil on my sunny, the mechanic just opened the glove dept, took that section out and removed the part.Originally posted by choppers:hi I am new to the forum. he was saying that if's its a european car, he'd have to take out the ENTIRE dashboard. picture the difference, and already, you know labour will cost more, not to mention the parts.
normal economics - higher the demand, the greater the supply, the lower the price.. and naturally, jap cars higher demand..
furthermore, unless you buy a parallel imported JDM model (which is not attuned to our tropical climate), all jap cars are designed for use in hot countries like south east asia, whereas european models are designed for temperate countries.. this means that they tend to overheat much faster (esp on a trip up north)..
juz try to remember those news clips you see on tv whenever you see a car burning up.. no prizes for guessing which brand.. it's always merc, bmw, even porche.. jap??? very rare... -
my fren was recommending to me that mazda cars are better in terms of turning radius and generally better handling than other jap cars such as mitsubishi... minus subaru...
wow.. i like subaru but then again..budget.. that was y lately.. saw a lot of mazda cars prowling on the streets espescially the 323s -

but yes, handling mazda is better. just try braking hard with both cars.. the nose-dive for mazda is much less obvious...
