Insurance & NCD question, need help

i just book i 1.5 car. the agent quote me insurance at the price of around $1700. I am no 33+, got licence since 20. but all along ride bike till now. Is that very ex?
although i have very clean record every year, but the agent said that "bike NCD" is not the same as "car NCD". That why i have to pay more 1st year. Need to start to build new NCD rebate from 0%. Is that true?
Or i kena "Chop"?

get quotes from different companies loh, AIG is the most expensive one, NTUC is quite cheap, some companies offer cheaper, but cheap things not good, good things not cheap... get one sound company and good price loh... my 2 cents worth...

no wonder. the 1 i get is from AIG. Book a brand new car, die die 1st year have to get from the car company.
It is not easy to own a car, is not just the car monthly installment. lot of hidden cost, insurance, road tax, fuel, antirust coat, car park, maintainance, oil change, blah blah.... -

AIG is expensive, some car company makes it compulsory to buy from them, anyway, i heard AIG is the best and provides good service, thats why expensive
