x2 yup, pratice....Originally posted by BlackPresea:practice practice... that's the key.
Whenever you get a chance to park, choose the HARDEST lot, and you will surely improve.
Don't forget that if learn how to park just one model of car (by looking out certain spots on the window and turning the steering wheel a precise degree), you'll not be able park other cars (especially the larger ones).
Best to get a feel for parking.

Does not apply to cars like Skyline, RX7, Silvia... or cars that has a long bonnetOriginally posted by kevho:I offer to give u tip on parallel parking here:
1st, line up your veh side by side with the car infront. If your car is the same length as the front car, turn wheel full once your side mirror align with the other car's side mirror.(depend on right side or left side p parking). If front car longer than yours, turn only after your side mirror is half of the other car's front door. (own judgement is needed here)
2nd, once you clear and start turning in, look at your driver's side mirror, once you see the back car's licence plate, start to straighten your wheel and clear your front portion from front car, while reversing.
once your front is clear, you can turn your wheel full again to shift car inwards. (depends on which side you are parking again). Rest is just some minor adjustment. (Note: control your brakes and turning have to be fast) Practice and practice. This is just a tip, please adjust according based on your car model. Use the car reverse sensor as much as possible when reversing. Hope this helps !
thats when u do e 180 handbrake parking method i described.Originally posted by DaKaR:Does not apply to cars like Skyline, RX7, Silvia... or cars that has a long bonnet

that's right.Originally posted by tailslide:use your side mirrors to look at the car park lots as you are adjusting your steering. all car park lots (except multi storey lots using concrete screed) are marked so that your car fits snugly into the center of the lots. as long as you align your wheels along the grooves using what you can see using the side mirrors, you are good to go.
