Embarassing Moments

Incident happened on : 1/3/2004 @ around 2045hrs in Jurong Point Carpark.
I was to meet my friends in Jurong Point so I decided to drive there. I drove there, found the Jurong Point Carpark, went into the 3rd lane from the left and stopped at the barrier.
I wind down my window and was going to press the "ticket issuing machine", well, I never expect it to be a cashcard reader. I was like... WTF!?!? Realising I have no cashcard with me, I quickly reverse up the slope and enter the 1st lane from the left, thinking that at least 1 lane should be accepting cash payment.
But ALAS!! I was wrong. I stopped at the barrier, switched on the hazard lights and called my dad, hoping that he'll tell me he's got an extra cashcard somewhere in the car, but no.
Feeling anxious, I got out of the car(hazards still on), was trying to get a fellow driver to lend me his cashcard, but feels too pai seh to do so. Luckily, I remember a security guard by the carpark entrance and quickly seek his help. I paid him $2 and he opened the barrier. He also informed me tat I dun have to get out of the car to get him, just talk to him via the comm(@ the cashcard reader) and he'll get to me.
Sooo pai seh... I was like a country pumpkin, dunno anything. Hell, when did this "cashcard carpark entry" applied?? I didn't know a thing bout it. *slaps forehead* -
aiyo...u must hav at least a cashcard in your car nowadays... lots of parking r using tat liao
But they should unify all the cards... ezlink card, cashcard, credit card, library card... watever discount card...

no need paiseh lah, everyone learns from mistakes.
just make it a habit to have a cash card, and look ard for sign boards upon entry to any carparks. for safety's sake, many pple dun put their cashcard in the cashcard reader, but some carparks are using the erp system now. so maybe u might wan to be aware of this also. must keep your eyes

if i have a cashcard in my car, but $0 or -tive value. can i still go into the car park? -
cash card will never have -ve value one lah. if zero, most places will still allow you in, juz remember to top up b4 leaving. however, i know of this dumb parking place near SOS (is it still called SOS or MW2?) that doesn't allow u in if not enough value in the cashcard. had to REVERSE up the entire stretch of slope to get outta of the carpark!!!Originally posted by sgRaC3r:just a question.

Yeah i think at the Orchard Cineleisure carpark when u go in during the per entry timings.. they deduct the money when u enter into the carpark...i remember ever seein one car reversing out hahaz really quite malu i must say luckily i haven't met with this sort of incident

wUhahhax... i met with the same incident at JP. That time juz got to drive my parents' car. Went to jp at 7+ with my gf... Went down the ramp into the car park with a lot of cars following behind. When i wanted to push the button for a tic, it says insert cash card. That time i really diao liao, cannt reverse cuz a lot of cars queuing behind. Then luckily i found a cash card in the car... if not SIAO LIAIo.... ***shY***

i think they should come up with altenate ways of entering the carpark if u dont have the cash card with you.
everytime i go in carpark, always worry my cash card still have money or not. -

not oni carpark. ERP oso need cashcard mah. unless u driving wkend car den unlikely to kanna ERP, or u die die never go into cbd.

haha.. i oso lei... bopian lei.. pass liao dun dare to park parallel coz im driving van all da time.. no back window for mi to bio.. so dun dare to park.. gif mi car i tink i can, if not hit and run lor..

u read mine u gotta luff... i was at 1 junction which i not sure can 2 lane turn right anot.. i was at 2nd lane from right side and not sure can turn anot.. when red light i wind down window, signal the car on the right lane to let mi cut in...
he did let mi cut in.. after turning right... as im driving van... i need to keep left and the junction got 2 right turn lane.. wah kaoz... -
eh..dat time learn from sch is use the pole..den when it outside..no poles..duno how..so slowly slowly learn how liao loh
dun like tht say me leh..i also consider k driver except i always lose my way..haha -
