Mazda 3

went to test drive the above... realise that the car has no power at all despite switching to manual and rev up at 2nd gear...quite disappointed. looks realli kill but in hokkien, nice look but not nice to eat... engine sound quite raw. sad to say... not sure if anyone here agree...

when u rev means you floor the accelerator... therefore you should feel the power... civic is therefore a better option.. of course you got to pay a few Ks more as well loh... haha... sad to say
i called it tiptronic not sure if i am right.. correct me if i am wrong.. something like daytona u know.. ahaa... but car power slack for mazda 3..
but i must admit AGAIN that looks realli cover up all other flaw.. 1st time i feel like that for a car..

IMO, the kelisa is quite responsive compared to other cars of its class like the charade, swift GL or maybe a march 1L.
doesnt mean u own a racing license and get to drive racing cars means other cars are not powerful.
how can u talk abt kelisa vs civic? shouldnt it be focus,corolla,civic,sunny,golf,307 ? -

kelisa not meant for racing.
and revving high dun mean its a good thing.
wear n tear damn high, and takes longer to get there.
let me choose between a car with 150bhp @ 4000rpms and 150bhp @ 7500rpms, i'd take the 4000rpm one.
well i suppose the good AND bad about civics r they r too light. good meaning faster accel n better braking response. bad because in corners.... well i saw this black civic flip at orchard rd recently. -

i mean kelisa revs high but lacks power. civic revs high but lacks power also -

so we are expecting Mazda3 to be a good handler driveability car not a happy high reving machine that run 0-100 in sub 8 sec or what.
Mazda 3 should turn in corner faster and comfortably compare to other car of the same class.
but sadly from the mag reviews the car turn in softer than 323.
hmm...i haven got the time to try the car yet.

I drive a normal 2003 Civic VTi (no..."S"...keke) Stock. I feel that the car is quite responsive & econ... 100km/hr at only 2500rpm... have not pushed it passed 3000rpm yet. Comparing it to a 2Lit Galant... who's maintains... 100km/hr at also 2500rpm... true the civic is lighter... but I would expect at least some sort of performance difference...
But i agree that the civic is rather light... even steering is too light for my comfort... corolla is a little to heavy (feels like no pwd steering...gd old times) Galant... juz nice not too heavy not too light.

the ford mondeo and focus series have long been acknowledged to handle well in corners, with very good cornering dynamics. -
I've been driving my Mazda3 for a week now. I've been driving for the last 20yrs but this is my best ride so far. It handles tight corners very well without any rolling. The brakes are simply superb. Though I admit the pick-up has got nothing to be rave about but it sure feel continental and have a solid feel compared to the other japanese
cars in its class presently. Well everyone is entitled to his opinion but I really wonder those that gave a bad one without even experiencing the car himself. -

ford sort of owns mazda now, so the dynamic steering of ford cars is also present in mazda cars now.
