WRX STi or Evo VIII??

i recently thinking of buying a new car... so which one u say better leh? the sti or evo8? i like the design of the sti, but they import frm dunno where one... horsepower limited at 265 only... i heard that the evo8 mitsubishi motors imported has 280 horsepower. issit true ah? if true i more likely going for the evo(i very power hungry one)

Well the Subaru's interior is definately much nicer...and more comfortable..i think that's more important than power, unless you are going racing with it..but then again Evos are rarer..nowadays so many subarus around..

even if the evo has less power, i'll still go for it. it's just the love, the passion, the desire, the addiction... the fetish.

Actually, I almost bought a normal WRX (220bhp) late last year.
Price is okie (have to tightened my belt a little but still can manage), but then the insurance frightened me off.
I got 7 yrs of driving experience but the insurance still stands at 5.1k/pa (cos of my age) !!!! What i wanna point out is that you better check your insurance premium as well. Cos this piece of paper will be costly.
So in the end never buy. I like the normal Rex cos its affordable. But if I am super rich, will go for evo8 instead of WRX, or even Sti. -
erm, it's all down to pref. personally, i'm a rex person. But now thinking only of an s15, or a 350z would be nice too. Cos if i wanna go fast, i'd rather do it in true beauty. But the price to mantain cars like this comes up to 1500-2000 monthly(insurance+ road tax included). Then have to put up with TP after clubbing at night.. worry about scratches from jealous ppl. Extra attention on the roads.. More people blowing at you cos wanna race with you.. frequent trips to the petrol stn.. unable to spend so much when you club.. The list goes on..

dun need to think. go for the EVO. spend 10k on a EVO, it'll give you more returns for power then you spend 10k on a rex. boxer engines tend to need more work to produce power. the reputation for both cars are evenly matched i should say. anyways, i tot the new sti is also putting out 276 bhps?

i believe those JDM PI are still pumping out 280bhp and i heard they are abit more pricey.
I will go for Sti for a better ride.

and yah...a stock mclaren F1 can outrun a mod supra. -

wat's the diff between evo7 RS and GSR ah? i saw one best motoring video they drive the RS the turbine deafening ah... the GSR no sound one, but i'm sure this is not the only difference? btw the evo7 quite dated liao so i think get sti better

i saw a video of a 69 camaro outrunning a modded up supra.
but recently i downloaded a video by bestmotoring.
it is a battle between a mod R34 with (450bhp), a stock 911 turbo with (420bhp) and a stock modena 360 (395 bhp).
before this battle, the 911 and the 360 had already gone for a few rounds of lap battling.
so that mean 911 and 360 brakes is wearing out.
so the battle begins and the 911 stays ahead leaving a small margin between it and the R34 until the end.
somehow the 911 won by a sec.
grand!

imaging those mod 911 turbos like Gemballa GTR 750 EVO with 850bhp.

if money is not a problem to u... go and get a evo..... better power and upgrade potential.... i had heard many stories b4 i bought my STI.... many ppl told me if both cars are standard, the sti will take the evo in terms of pick up but for high end, the evo will be able to win... if both mod. up exhaust and air filter only, the sti will still be infront and can only overtake on high end.... how true is it i really dunno,.... been hearing story.... but looking at the price of S$130k and S$155k.... the price is not like only 2k difference... it is like 20over k!!! in UK, the 265bhp will be able to hit near 300bhp when u change the downpipe and exhaust system and air filter....
