I heard from my colleague that Mclaren SLR is already in town and 4 of them are on the road already?
Anyone to verify?

There are no slr's in singapore (u can belive cos i work for DiamlerChrysler)
But if u are interested in exspensive cars it might interest you that there is a Maybach here in singapore -

I dont know if there will be any importers other then us cos that car will be sold only to very rich and famous ppl anyway ! and most of them will either collect or not sell them ! so i do not know but sure threr is always gray market ! if ya know waht i mean.
and i work in marketing !

Hmm I think that the SLR is currently only available in right hand drive. Unless it is driven by diplomats, right hand drive is not allowed here.

yes, i am in Singapore.
anyway years back someone told me there is no Diablo GT in Singapore.
but i saw one orange Diablo GT at Siglap with black gt wing, one big air scoop on the roof to enhance engine air intake and a hole on the bonnet for aerodynamic.
unless the owner spend a fortune to mod the bodykit or else i am sure is the Diablo GT. -

It cost around 1.5 Mill or more.
Even if u have 10 Million dollars they will not sell it to you if you are not famous or somebody special !

There is no SLR in Singapore. The ad was out since the december issue of AutoCar. Not sure whether there is any car in the showroom in Alexandar as said in the ad, but there is no buyer for this supercar yet. Maybe your friend saw the SL...
But there are 2 buyers for the Porsche Carrera GT. Because its left hand drive, they will be registered in Germany and kept some other country but not Singapore.
There is also a Singaporean interested in buying a Enzo Ferrari, but not sure whether he qualify. There is a Enzo Ferrari in the showroom of Hong Seh Motors, not sure whether its still there. Was still there when I went there on 18/01/2004. Managed to take only 1 shot of that beautiful car.
Went to Aston Martin showroom but can't see anything except this Toyota Corolla with a nice number SCP1C.
Most expensive car in Singapore still the Jaguar XJ220. Its OMV is already S$1,000,000 when it was sold in 1991. There is still one in Singapore but the owner de-registered it. Its parked together with a Ferrari F50 in a secret location.
Really like to see the Pagani Zonda. Not sure of the exact location of the showroom except its in Changi. Can someone tell me??? Will the sales rep really entertain you there? -

The car's design is like no other SLRs u commonly see on the streets. The car's external shape + design(thanks to Mclaren) is very unique. I remember seeing it in black(and I remembered drooling in awe).
As for performance-wise, I dunno, but I assume it won't loose out to Rexes and Evos.
Mercedes is very smart, taking tat Mclaren designed chio bu under their name.... ha ha!!

I think you refer to SL 500....not the Mclaren SLR 500...
Can't remember if it's SL 500 or SLR 500...but anyway...it costs $500k for one...a big gap from Mclaren SLR 500...the SL500 got some similiarities with the Mclaren SLR 500...the outlook of the car..
So far i've seen 3 SL500....one i saw was parked at yishun blk 925 kopitiam...one was on the road...both are silver in color....
The very 1st SL 500 was white...n that's my chairman's car..thik in s'pore there's only one white in color SL500 coz i heard that his car was imported n sent out to Italy(or Germany...can't remember) to change the whole of the interior designs and so..his SL 500 is one n only in s'pore..car plate number tink is EK1E
