Hi,
I am a new menber. I am getting my Altis probably by this coming Saturday 10th April. It is a metallic gray color.
Am thinking of installing Huper Optik Window film on the car. Any comments? Price and which range to choose. One pont of contention I discover is that the LTA approval for Light transmission is minimum 70% but Huper has a porduct max is about 60%. Have email and asked them to comment on this. -

Thai made cars are really not worth $73000....
The other day saw an self-bang accident along PIE near Jalan Bahar......the VIOS 2/3 engine + bonnet gone as a result of the freak crash into the expressway side railing....
Remember what I mentioned the other day? listen to the 'piang' sound when u close the car boot......very hollow leh...... -
IMO, the Vios, Altis and Corolla sacrifies safety for leg room, cabin space etc. The door panels are relatively thin compared to the Nissan Sunny etc, and although the result is a more comfortable ride, i'd be scared stiff if i get kissed in my sides etc. Not that i wouldn't be if i were in another car, but i'd be especially scared if i were in a Toyota

The front part of the car is supposed to be softer so that when u crash, more of the impact is absorbed thus preventing u from being thrust forward with high velocity... plus the fact u also duno know how fast and from what angle did he crash into the railing... hence the accident does not tell much... That's a relatively small difference, but it feels completely different driving and sitting in a corolla Altis and a Nissan Sunny. I drive a sunny, and sit/drive an Altis quite often. IMO, the thickness of the door panels is the difference. -
The thickness of the door panels will only differ in terms of mm, won't make a diff in the space. Have u ever dismantle your door b4? alamak.... when talk abt weight of toyota and nissan....why many pple sure come to the point that nissan steel plate are thicker....
all are brain-washed by the sales pple in Tan Chong....
we all know that the rigidity of the car chassis and structure does not depend on the door panelling or bonnet or boot..... it's the main chassis rigid frame..... that cage the passenger.....
the design principle of toyota maybe to asborb as much impact force at the crumple zone..... that's alright.....provided that the rigid frame is intact.....
