AE86 Levin/Trueno still exist on Singapore road?

Correct me if i'm wrong, so it's about $24K for 88-89model with about 4-5 years COE left.
I think it a good price since i do not want to go for a loan, would rather pay $24 cash than get a loan of $80K+ for some stupid FWD car.

its not wrong but the car is an 83 car not 88-89. $24K cash plus subsequent years of servicing and maintenence costs. after 5 yrs u left with 0 dollars and some scrap metal.
New car got resale value and end of 10 yrs can get back money too. Yearly depreciation is less than 6k too.
But of course i am not scolding u. I bought it myself didnt i? but dont buy it thinking its cheap..its not cheap if u do all the math..its expensive.i bought it becos i love it. its my dream car. Even if i am earning 10K a month. this will still be my fav car. Maybe buy another 7 seater for my family. but this is ultimately my car.

I agree with you there!!! I've also seen a few levins and the rare trueno on the roads before... mostly near the PS area... but I really love this car too... it's small enough for Singapore roads and yet still good to drive... that is, if I ever get to drive it... hehe... I just love it's looks... esp if it's the black and white one...

Remember seeing a black and white 86 around the Selegie area... couldn't see the front... dunno whether it was Levin or Trueno... most of the time, around PS is Levin... saw Trueno only once...

i have seen some models from year 83 all the way till yr 85.

Overheard one of your friends mentioning that mine is NA and not TC. Although at that moment got impulse want to challenge race...but i sure lose till mad mad one....sob sob...my poor poor old tofu car cant sprint faster than you healthy young blokes.

which one mention ur car is NA? tot AE86 all NA? relac relac. i'm sure they were juz making a harmless comment.

I saw 2 truenos, both Sprinter and Levin every Friday night at the Asian Golf Academy coffee-shop carpark(free parking). You guys can catch a glimps of them there. muz be tough maintaining the trueno in your kind of condition. consider putting a cup of water in your cup holder the next time you go there...... can go 99 bends nearby play corner later and see left how much water. -

I'm the one driving the decent looking red Kangoo with stickers on both doors. The "euro van club" emblem sticker is on the right door.
Seems to see your ride, tat "Fujiwara Tofuten" car, every friday on our club gathering. Very nice looking and very well maintain. Must have spend a fortune to make a complete duplication from Initial D?? A job well done. Also saw your ride featured in HotStuff mag. -

hmmm...thats the wonderful part about this car. In its stock form(remember this is in 1983, 20 yrs ago) it gives a powerful 130BHP combined with its light weight body of 960Kg. Together it has LSD and is a rear wheel drive. ICE... well... only a handful got install woofer and only 1 got a powered-up ICE system, the bass was like... how to describe it.... mobile disco. The old-birds in the club say there was another 1 even more powerful than his, a Mercedes Vito. But it was sold not long ago, never get to listen to itz powerful beats. As for the Caddys, they run on turbo diesel. Installing a BOV in a turbo diesel engines doesn't help. So either wat you heard is from another vehicle or I didn't catch the "psst" sound bcos itz too soft even if they drag the gears all the way. Unless they go and install the HKS Diesel BOV, then got the "psst" sound, but so far, none, cos too expensive. -
ah i see i see....so what kind of van are u driving? any pics of it? =) is it those square type one? one of my members was mentioning to me that one of the vans there have like 8 - 10 batteries for his ICE...
