Altis:
- Extremely ordinary looking. No dominance and character. Without the "Altis" logo, I can't identify it on the road. It looks like an obsoleted Corolla 5 years ago.
- Interior is luxurious though. "Plastic" wood panelling and other amenities helps the occupants forget its poor exterior looks.
Lancer:
- German involvement in design. Aggressive front view.
- Interior comparable to Altis.
- Engine compartment is too long, which makes the front overhang longer than most cars. Perhaps the designer wanted a larger crumple zone?
What I hate about both car's interior is the presence of the large floor hump in the middle. If there are 3 passengers behind, the poor middle guy will seat with legs wide open. Cannot wear skirt. Why can't they design a flat floor similar to the Honda Civic?
I won't go for either, but if no choice, I prefer the Lancer for its price.
i saw recently that the price for the lancer is $65k only..
is it true?
