Can Mitsubishi Lancer fitted with 17" rims?

  Can anyone advised me whether the new Lancer can be fitted with this tyres specs; 215/45/R17?

  Why install so big, after install, you'll be surprise that when you drive, it is very noisy and yr FC will go up!

  try a smaller rim size, maybe 16 inches.

  what is the normal rim size of a lancer

  Well firstly ..... you will see that the tyres are protuding out from the wheel arch ... secondly you have problem with the turning radius as it will requires big turning space. Thirdly, more fuel comsumption. Forth, no comfort (very bumpy ride). Fifth, your mileage may not be accurate. Sixth, damn expensive.

  Also depends on the engine capacity. For 1.6 think 16" is the max, otherwise the bigger the wheels, the harder the engine has to work, which will wear things down faster ya ..
  
  Most jiak lat is if u put 17" rim, ur car will certainly be gulping petrol .. jiak yew si bei dang ... got a fren who did and is complaining abt the high consumption .. 1 tank only gives u abt 300 odd km

  i've fitted a 97 mirage in australia (in sg it's the colt) with 17" with 205/40ZR17s no mods to the guards.

  I did a 17in in my old Civic the last time round and the cornering improved tremenously.... however I cannot drive anymore pple especially at the rear..... the rim will hit the sides.... actually no need such big rims if you want spend the money to lower suspension or even to buy a better braking system......

  can...but u have to change your tyre to low profile tyre...for your info...if u change to 17" rim..there won't be any performance on your car for launching...

  I'm currently using 17" with 40/205 profile tires for my 03lancer.
  
  Looks fantastic I would say, and the turn radius wouldn't be affected much as the overall wheel size is the same.
  
  The pickup and FC is bad because 17" rims are heavier, but if you manage to get lighter forged ones, you'll welcome the poser property and the stability that comes with the wider 215 grip.

  anyways, u need to go and check out the tyre profile and the rim size stock, to decide if u can fit 17 inchs and how low profiled your tyres need be
