Help needed in modification

Can anyone help me out here??
I have a problem here, i want to improve the performance (acceleration, power,looks, etc)of my car (lancer), but i have absolutely no clue where to begin with...Just want some common basic improvements
Any help would be greatly appreciated

acceleration and horsepower you can mod the exhaust system... change the cold car intake, change spark plug...... this are the basic mod..... rough estimation of $1500 -$2000... I rough horsepower increase of 20-25.... In terms of looks wise it is up to you to do itup with body kits.....

err..i think more impt is check wallet first. =)
but if you got a big wallet and intend to go full scale into mods.
May i suggest only performance mods? ie: under bonnet mods cos Appearance mods will not only bring u attention, it will also bring u UNWANTED attention...heh..if u know what i mean. -

Mayb go get a K&N open pod filter, den to Man Exhuast or Jeep Chee ther to do ur pipe...got increse liao....k&N mayb $100+, pipe bout $500 i dunno.ask them make the whole pipe half inch bigger...if u wan other cannot see, the i dunno call wat.... the metal tinOriginally posted by Car84:Many thanks to those who had replied

at the rear ask them to cut & put a stright through den weld back....tat should cos less den $80....u wan tiong look ah....change sport rims...get say 235/16/45 tire..power liao..den c-west kit wid side skirt..den gt-wings + winglets & splitters.....not to forget change ur fog lamp to PIAA or HELLA...power liao lo...den orginal light change to H.I.D....but dun go in inspection lik tat , 100% fail...lolx... -
Please note the last sentence of bo liao's recommendation. TP's are on the lookout for such mods. just be warned. If i were you.... i would not waste such money becos the mods are not goiing to account for a lot more hp, maybe you can focus on your ICE, interior presentation, or even a bodykit. Make your car look pretty pretty... IMHO...

Oh new version one that means it is a new car..... dun modify things that will void the warranty check with your dealer be4 you embarke on your mod.... at first I thought urs is a old one....

By the way i hear, i heard others say something about air intake system, is there such a thing??
Can it be changed or modded?? wat is it exactly...can someone pls explain?? -

It is what I ask you to modify, it is where the car draw the air from... cleaner air and more air intake will helps the car combust better with the fuel..... it is the Air/fuel.... with some tuning it will helps achieve performance results..... however if it is not done well enuff it may result in pwr lost as the air leak into the environment... try to find a gd mechanic to do .... it is actually the pl where you put ur filter but if you are to upgrade you will change it to pipe type..... all this will increase your input for at most 2-4 Horsepower..... change mean u change the filter mod means you totally forgo the old one and replace it with a new type of air intake.....
