Hm.... my friend driving a pinic said their after sale service also no good..... hm....Originally posted by TAL:Hi all,
Just went to both the showrooms and again, the BM SE just ignored me. Probably cos I am a single lady going there alone and they aren't exactly interested to serve me.Went over to Kah Motors, and immediately the SE came over and asked how she can help.
4 years ago when I went, it was the same.
In the end, I bought a Honda instead of a Toyota. Though the decision wasn't exactly based on the service attitude, I thought they should at least come forward and offer information.
Deciding between Civic and Altis cos my Honda EXi is approaching its fifth year. But feel it would be quite 'boring' to sort of buy back the same Civic though it is more powerful, with leather seats, sports rims, and so was thinking of buying Altis...But the thought of going to BM again...hmmmm...sigh.
No other showrooms are like that, Renault, Ford. write in to the public relation department, that is if they have one.

We r arrogant, we r arrogant, we will stand together and kao bei kao bu more.Originally posted by Toyota_supporter:
Is like that one lah, Toyota selling like hot cakes, the SE surely will be corky cos people look for them to book cars. They dont even have to promote the car, just sit there waiting to pocket comissions.
Honda SE were the same during the time when Civic was selling like hot cakes.
If you go to those empty showrooms, the service will probably be better cos they are desparate for people to buy. So you can say that, in car industry the sales and service standard are inveresely proportional. Good sales = poor service, poor sales = better service.
This is the Singapore service mentality. It will take a long time to change. Maybe when Singapore was hit by something Hong Kong faced years ago, people will improve faster.![]()
True, the altis look ugly at the rear.......Originally posted by stealthguy:BM SEs won't be so arrogant for long because Toyota has not many silver bullets left.
Their flagship Corolla is not longer made in Japan, but replaced by Thailand-made ugly Altis and small Vios.
Their competitors have lowered prices and has come up with many good models.
Wait another 6 months and you'll see.
i also heard a lot of other stories...Originally posted by CarDreamer:![]()

Then after that what happen...
Actually there is nothing much you could do since the Toyota resale value is quite stable for most people to ignore... if you are those who hope to change new car every 3-5 years, dun think many are brave enough to go those less popular japanese brands not even to mention the continental brands.Originally posted by y720:i also heard a lot of other stories...
(1) a guy wearing simple clothes went to BM. BM's first question to him was "did u bring your check book today?". he walked off to another car dealer next door.
(2) my colleague asked for discount at BM. he was told "if u are not interested, never mind, there are many others in the queue behind u".
(3) another friend of mine was so put off by the BM SE's attitude that he refused to testdrive and just walked off.
if they can just brush up their attitude a bit, i am sure their sale will be even better...
Nowadays, resale value of car is their PARF + Remaining COE. With so many Toyota cars on the road, their resale value won't be much higher.Originally posted by manualisbetter:Actually there is nothing much you could do since the Toyota resale value is quite stable for most people to ignore... if you are those who hope to change new car every 3-5 years, dun think many are brave enough to go those less popular japanese brands not even to mention the continental brands.
is IDSi version come with airbag + ABS ? If yes , might considere buying it .. HOw much you bought your CIty ? can recommend SE ?Originally posted by david3305:I agree totally that Toyota SE are a snobbish lot. I was there a ciuple of months back, deciding to buy the Altis. The place was packed and there was no SE wanting to serve. Best part, I went up to 2 of them (they were standing there chit chatting with each other). I started to enquire about the Altis and so forth. Was I shocked by their reply! The Altis is over there, go take a look lor..so many people queing to buy already...you can wait 3 months or not? got bring cheque book? if got bring, then I will serve you later...
Well, you know what I did? I turn to my wife and said 'Told you right...Altis so common...come, we go and see the new Accord...pay cash hor?'
Well, today I am driving a City 1.5L iDSI CVT with dual airbags, ABS with EB, steermatic 7 mode and I was served by the best Honda SE, with lots of accessories throw in FOC, great after sales service and I have never regretted my choice.
Oh yes, I went back to the Toyota showroom a few days after I pick up my City. This time with 2 male buddies and we talk loudly ' Heng ah, never buy Toyota...". Bo liao right but you should have seen the faces of the Toyota SE .as we zoom off in my City...
Agreed. Before my dad get his altis, i did go to BM,wanting to test drive that car...Guess wat did the SE tell me off when i approach?Originally posted by TAL:Hi all,
