Why do you need a blow-off valve for a non-turbo? I know, i know, you want the car to make that sound right?

psst... psst... funny thing, becos quite a few of my friends are getting rid of their BOV from their cars becos it attracts too much attention... esp from the gay boys otherwise called TPs.

you can install into it with a bit of modification..... I seen before the baby subaru having that....If u r thinking of getting one get the cheapest one in town some of the BOV are specially design for brands of cars.....actually it is quite irritiating to the driver after some time...... I personally hate and regreted installing one into my Rex......

So which BOV are you using? Everyone seems to have the HKS SSQV... you wanna get rid of it? hehehe...

Ya that's the one..... this one is expensive but you dun have to have a bracket to mount it on that why most prefer to have it..... instead of other brands like blitz.... somemore the sound is the best of all the BOV..... How much are you willing to pay?? I am willing to part with it if I am given a gd price..... cos the BOV is at most 1mth old.....

blow-off valves aint really usefull, really doubt pple who have them installed really know wats the function of it anot... install wastegate, 10x better, i swear

i think the actual function of BOVs is to release excess pressure at the release of accel pedal at high rpm or at gear shift at high rpm. damn funny to imagine a 1.6 ts riced up to look like an sti, with BOV somemore, then scully got one real sti wan to race with it

hahaha I came across a magazine that state that there are something known as a turbo simulator for NA cars.... but it is $380 over..... I think plus installation $40 it is close to what I pay for my HKS BOV.....
I got my BOV to prolong the life of the turbo but I do not know that it is so irritiating.... hahahha..... guess I just cannot have the best of two world when I rev too high..... cos the sound mostly can only be heard at 2000RMP and gets louder and louder if you rev higher..... -

Praetorium, thanks for the offer. But i doubt my price will be ok with you since you just bought it. A friend of mine is selling his for slightly over $200 (about 2 mths old). But problem I hear is becos my car runs on a MAF, any venting of air into the atmosphere causes the car to run unnecessarily rich (and its not like the stock cars are not already running rich
). More importantly, spool rate is drastically affected due to the venting of air, to a point where I have heard of WRXs and EVOs' rpms fall to a stalling level. Anyway, that can be solved, but yet requires more money. -
I might just get the BOV one day, but I first need to get a aftermkt programmable ecu to change my MAF to a MAP so that these problems will not surface..
