How does CVT works??
can anyone explain??
1)Heard that CVT break down easily after a few yr
2)They are not as good whencompared to other tranmission
....is the above true??
3)can anyone name me a few other common tranmission??want to know more....many thks
it varies the ratio continously so that the engine is always kep in the ideal torque and bhp range
It makes use of 2 pulleys with a rubberband instead of the gear to gear. It varies the pulleys size therefore changing the ratio. It gives u a smooth ride cos there is no gear change but the downside is that cvt still cannot support too high power. Let me find a url with more info on that.
