Mitsubishi Lancer Sports 1.6 or Honda Civic Vti 1.6

Need some advices on these 2 cars.
Looking at it more from an economical point of view.
Fuel consumption etc.
What's your stand on this? -
both quite fuel efficient... but honda is faster...vtec. mitsubishi got cvt.. so can be more efficient than honda's 4-speed auto. in terms of handling, honda may be better, as it has hydaulic steering, compared to mitsubishi's electric if i'm not wrong. Other than better steering feel, they both are quite evenly matched. In terms of space, honda has more of it, as it has a flat rear floor, thus more rear legroom. As for styling, i prefer that of the civic, low front and high rear, more sporty than the lancer's. As for accessories, the lancer sport includes bodykit and oz rims.
In all, i prefer the honda.

For me i aslo trust a honda then a toyota then the mitsu due to the workmanship/quality of their products.

recently fren's civic head on collision with lancer. friend injured pretty badly. lancer driver got away with scratches.
civic front almost whole engine gone. lancer front left about half.
which is better? go figure -

Overall a better car. But of cos, it comes with a price tag..... -
