Insurance cover for performance cars

  Was wondering if anyone can shed some light into the insurance companies covering Jap performance models like Euro R, EVO, WRX, etc.
  
  I'm currently with NTUC enjoying 50%NCD + 10%Loyalty discount for a 1.6 litre car. However, when I asked them to quote coverage for an Accord Euro R, they said they don't provide

  How old are you? How many years driving experience?
  
  Only a handful of insurance companies were willing to quote me on a WRX although I have 10 years driving experience because I had no NCD (previous car was in my dad's name). NTUC was one of them, but I eventually went with India International.

  I'm 31 this year and have been insured under NTUC since 1999. Got my class 3 in 1993.

  Very strange. NTUC quoted me about $3,600 (no NCD). That was about 2-3 months ago. Try India International maybe.
