Actually i see someone doing this.. there is a guy staying quite near to my place at west (don't know him too bad)... few months ago i saw his new car - a white WRX RA (at least the badges say so). Now, all the badges are removed and also the back standard lamp have been replaced with the black-tinted type. I think he doesn't want people to tell what his car from behind... however, once other see the front bonnet, then they know is a monster rex. "Sleeper" sounds like a fitting word hereOriginally posted by johncooper:Alamak ... Pre ... Take out ALL the badges and change ur hood to the norm one ... take out spoiler also ... make it a sleeper lah ...
*just me 2 one cents worth*
decals only ahOriginally posted by johncooper:whoa lau heng@ ... need to go to that extend of modification meh?
just realised... if u change to a normal hood, u r going to damage the turbo as the intercooler is mounted on top, and the scoop is to channel air in to the intercoolerOriginally posted by johncooper:Alamak ... u want a very frank opinion?Originally posted by Praetorian111:Wow have close hood then later pple say i WRact
Some actually mount their intercooler to the front so that they can have a close hood.... stating the theory of air is colder at the base.... but i personally think it is not advisable becos heat will be trapped and may damage the car internal organs .....
regarding the roof vent, u need to consider if you really need a roof vent. the vent on wrc cars are to let air in to the driver compartment since they do not have airconditioning.Originally posted by Rexdriver:Well, you could consider getting a different body kit, including the spoiler - that should distinguish your Rex from others a bit. I have myself considered the WRC decals, but its kinda just asking for constant adverse attention from TPs and road racers imo. I'm thinking of a roof vent too, though not the big one shown in Heng's piccies above, but a small one just above the driver's seat. Maybe also one picture decal (instead of the usual brand name decals) in bright STI pink on one side of the car or hood. Change the front and rear lights to Morette lights - they're quite outstanding. And the WRC side mirrors... they look awesome (very expensive though)!
hahaha touch wood.... going to change soon.... one by one my brake pad then tyreOriginally posted by HENG@:u want a very frank opinion?
your car is nice as it is... dun have to change anything... EXCEPT....
for....
YOUR BOTAK TYRES!!!
better change b4 something happens hor.
muahahaha!Originally posted by Rexdriver:I prefer to drive without aircon whenever possible (aircon saps acceleration...), so I end up winding down the window an inch or so to let the air in. anyways, not sure if its legal or notOriginally posted by Rexdriver:I prefer to drive without aircon whenever possible (aircon saps acceleration...), so I end up winding down the window an inch or so to let the air in. see he also talk about your slicks...Originally posted by tailslide:hmm, i think change bodykit, rims and suspension good enough to distinguish ur car liao lor. too much emphasis on decals may create the impression of "all show, no go". sides, it'll be easy for someone who likes ur decal designs to copy it anyway, but changing body parts, not all can recreate the same looks. and 4 crying out loud, change ur friggin slicks!![]()
