What kind of halogen / whatever gen u call it can be fitted?

Anyone knows what kind of halogen / whatever gen u call it can be legally installed on car ? i mean those bright white lamp -
I thought any stock car that does not come with the HID/white lamp is considered illegally mod. if you replaced it yourself. Few weeks ago, the TP conducted a night exercise and fine many car owners becos of this (publish on newspaper).Originally posted by 2004Lancer:Hi folks,

The reason TP gave is too much heat generated and may lead to fire, also block vision of other drivers due to the brighness unless the car comes with the auto adjustment control (standard in higher class Merc., BMW, Lexus i think) for the lamp angle. However, if your lancer comes with a manual control one, then maybe you can install the white bulbs and just lower the front headlights to point more towards the ground.. else not recommended unless you do not mind "donating" money to TP

fyi...i was once a cop (for 7 years)... now i am a street-petition-writer representing man-in-the-streets........whoever summon me will be challenged and the law will have to be changed.....who else but a once-an-insider knows the system better?
