I agree with Praetorian111... around 90k for performance car there isn't many model around... Just for japanese model - Below 75K, you have only the Suzuki Ignis Sport and Daihatsu YRV Turbo to pick. Bot have engine capacity below 1600cc. Between 1800cc - 2000, there are 2 models like Integra IS and Toyota Celica SS1 but they are just base model and slightly above 90K and below 100K.
Next you have the higher end model (above 100K and lower than 130K) like Rex WRX, Integra Type R, Celica SS2 or the Honda Accord Euro R. Of course you can also considered the Mitsubishi E8 and Rex STi but they are sure super high scale ones...
Hence from above price scales, you can see there is a vacuum between 75-90k which fits nicely for a 1600cc-1799cc performance car. But so far no manufacturer has considered to manufacture such a car except Honda which has the Civic Vti-S if you will considered it as one performance car. The price just fit nicely into the 80-90k brackets.
