How true isit that installing an air filter to your car will increase engine power, lower fuel consumption etc?
Are there anything I shd be concerned wif before I install 1 for my car? Anyone wif bad experiences? -

Lower fuel comsumption, mayb meansu already hv more air for combustions to gv more power to move off, u no need to step harder on ur acc to move off, get wat i mean, its somwhow related to it....
For me, i use K&N, immediately effect i found, its the sound.......the "vroom....."when start engin & when u rev as u move off....only felt slight smoother in pick-up,mayb add 1 BHP????
i dunno...little bit only lah,but it help in giving ur engin to breath better as more air can go in....
well, i feel its a normal thing to add on....i dun feel its any performance mod,(mayb i green horn)jus to let engin breath better nia.... -
u mean changing the air filter to those aftermarket ones isit? Yes... it will increase HP and other areas.... as it allows air intake to be more smooth....But it is hardly noticible.... like maybe 0.5- 1 HP depending on ur car type.... if u really want really improvement change the whole air intake system with exhaust system.... the change will be more significance.....
of course choose those that is approve by LTA ones.... -
Yah, my fren recommend me this K&N 1 oso, say can increase HP.. Claims his car previously RPM max can only go up to 4, now can go up to 7-8 wif little effort.. dunno how true...
