Second Hand Cars

Hi, I'm thinking of buying a second hand cars. Heard of some of the disadvantages but would like to hear some more concrete and realistic comments. Feel free to share....
I have seen the papers advertising for Honda Civic 1.6l. 7years instalment. Monthly about $300. COE till 2011. 1st COE since 93 so its into its 11th year now. Comments?

well 2nd hand cars depends on ur luck.

btw if not wrong those ads for honda'93 price at $27k is bluff one.
once u get there they tell u no more left only expensive type. -
Yeah I agree that luck plays a part too lor. As for the 'bluff' advertisment... I actually called up to ask before and they said still available. Anyway if really the case can always walk out lor. and pls tell me if u get the car.
anyway, gettin a 2nd hand car isd not just lookin at the appearance but the engine(most exp apart) and other parts where u cant see.
better get a "old bird" with u to see the car and let him test drive. -

ya sure.luck plays a part....It's recommended that u don't get a car more than 10years.If u wanna get one,make sure u find out about the history of the car.whether its accident free,in good condition and its best to have a mechanic check that car out.As u know,the fuel usuage for older cars tend to be much more than new cars.ya.and one more thing.Try to have 55 as your last two plate no. It will gurantee u good luck.

cheat one lar..the plaza hotel one...u sure DUN NID pay anything upfront?? sure dun nid pay downpayment first??? just pay 300 plus a month ONLY?? can't be wad..

Yeah just checked with a friend last night about this. He happens to have a friend that does car dealing so he said that it all gimmicks to attract people lor. And I have read in another article online about second hand cars too. Basically no deposit doesn't mean no downpayment and the $300 that you pay as deposit is not the downpayment required.
