everybody DON'T BLUFF LAH!!! it is a FACT that make and model is the FIRST determinant of a car fuel consumption level.......
And we all know the FACT is VVTi and iDSI and other hybrid cars are the most fuel saving cars....
BUT bear in mind hor....VVTi (intelligence) and other intelligent engines have electronic components managing the fuel consumption hor....so when these electronic parts or callibration fail, good luck hor....your engine will become VVHCi (Very Very High Consumption intelligence) -

Your lancer also use ECU to manage its fuel system leh.... So your lancer need to go for callibration already??

I did a bit of reading up on the internet on how car engines work and have so far come to the conclusion that Honda's technology has been the most reliable, proven and recognized worldwide. Their VVTi, IDSi, etc technology are among the world's finest and most efficient at the moment.
I read these reviews not from Honda's advertising site but from general informational sites that discuss how standard car engines work from the perspective of science.
Hence, I think other car manufacturers are still a step behind in doing research to produce the most efficient car engine.
Anyone out there knows of other types of engines by other manufacturers that are as efficeint as Honda's? -
yep... no doubt that hyundai cars have high fuel consumption... my parent's matrix is doing like 8km/l..... that bad..... and its 3 years now..... the engine has a little problem... it seems to be choking... luckily some technician did some temporary repairs by wrapping musking tape on its spark plugs..... CHEAP...... anyway my parents are changing to honda city soon cuz matrix is really eating my family's wealth....

KNN...that's murder by Italian designer...the Korean should at least buy its engines from the japanese.......got once at Yio Chu Kang Road, also witnessed the backside of Matrix completely crushed at the back by another car which merely kissed its backside......see beh soft backside the Matrix has......
talking about Mitsubishi Lancer, there is no electronic stuff in its engine...have meh? where to check or which site to find out? thought the gear is CVT and the only model having MIVEC II and MIVEC III engines are Grandis and Colt......
Lancer is just a simple-engine car...

I never bluff leh... The PROBLEM is my hyundai matrix now has engine problem... the mechanic also say can "hwa chia liao". If i ram my engine.... got smoke...... and the mechanic say that few more months your engine will spoil liao....
