Hi everybody,
C&C Ubi holding another roadshow in Century Square this week. Just happen to be there for dinner just now and saw them also selling Picanto.Wondering are they able to deliver all the cars on time after everybody here been waiting for such a long time.
On display is Cobalt Blue Picanto, Auto with leather seat. Look good.
Kinkichong cannot meet you this few day, just want to tell you I've been to Ubi, the decal shop near Police HQ last Saturday. I think I know the place, if you want to go make decal can call me, I can bring you there.
On Saturday also received Steven call saying his SA ask him to change to Rio with a $3,000 discount due Pica might not come. He was worry and go and test drive Getz that day. I just ask him to hang on since we been waiting for soooo.. long. -
Har this mean that we had to wait even longer lor wah now really worry leh wait really cannot get in time 4 my wedding then how.Steven is opc wat and he order this shipment colour which is black he got his coe how come he can not get his car this month really suay man.R they playing some game with us or wat.Really frust and scare to read n see this type of news man.Now they still dare to hold a road show n later tell people that the stock here stuck there stuck.Tell them lar dun play around with our feeling and emomtion.

There is one incident where my fren's Matrix loaded with people. He moved off the car upslope and then... basically u hear the engine reaching its limit and moving like a tortoise for a few seconds b4 going to a normal speed. -

Driving an Auto Car.
To D or not to D
This is the most commonly asked question by owners of automatic cars: “Should I put the lever to N, or leave it in D while waiting at traffic light junctions?” The answer is, leave it in D and use the brakes to hold the car at a standstill. All modern automatic gearboxes are designed to cope with this, so there is no unnecessary wear and tear on the mechanical components.
Frequently shifting from D to N and vice versa, however, puts strain on the gearbox and its electronically controlled solenoids. In the long run, this may result in premature failure of some components, and a hefty repair bill. ItÂ’s also a common misconception that holding the car with the brakes leads to additional wear and tear on the braking parts. Since the car is stationary, there is no friction between the pads and discs, so there is no extra wear.
My Question is , is our Picanto come with modern automatic gearbox that are designed to cope with this ?? -

To paste the stickers I think no problem. If got change see what I done to my present corolla interior and also the window area. Those are the things I learnt when I used to go to Singapore Toyota Corolla Club. Also think of design some decals now. Frankly speaking (no offence) the 2 decals to votes in Sg Kia Club don't really look nice. (Hope KiaBoss can take this, sorry KiaBoss

Hey sifu where u view the decal i kept finding but cant find it, then ok lor we design a few and we put in at the sgkiaclub forum to let only our picanto gang vote n later we gether some group and go n make the decal.At the same time u can conduct a short course of pasting the decal also.

Did anyone realise that the Picanto is now more expensive, and C&C is playing dirty by not reducing prices even though Cat A COE prices have dropped by over S$1,000 during the last 2 bids.
Take the example of the Picanto 1.1 manual
Launch price - S$49,999
1st price increase (21 May) - S$50,999
2nd price increase (11 June) - S$51,999
Since then, the last 2 COE bids ending 23 June & 7 July have gone down by S$500 each time.
But C&C has yet to pass the savings back to buyers by reducing the Picanto price. But the moment the COE price goes up, C&C will be first to increase the Picanto price.
And it is very disappointing that with such high margins, they have not been securing COEs for buyers who have signed on the dotted line as far back as April. This is as good as being taken for a ride, only to be told to top up later.
Doesn't that make you feel like a fool? -

I booked my on 10/Jul! It is either you are played out by your SA or I'm fooled by my SA or both of us are tricked by our SA. Conclusion, never trust your SA.............. -

The primary objective is to scare potential buyers off and with less buyers, your chances of getting your car sooner is higher.
You pay BIG money for a puny car, and are treated like peanuts. This is no way to treat a customer. -

Hey Vit4WD, you want to lead us for the demonstration or not? I am sure many of us doesn't mind a few hours off. I doubt there will be any significant results. Wo wo wo. Guys.. relax. You will frighten off potential Picanto buyers. I dunno much but i dun think the demostration can bring any result.
I would personally think that you have to keep barking at your SA to make him/her fed up, then, maybe results will happen -

I know you are very fustrated at having to wait 3 more months for your Picanto. And I can understand that it gets even more fustrating when you have bought ALL accessories for your Picanto that has yet to arrive.
Jokes aside, well, we don't have to stage a demonstration. But if we could do what I did to Borneo Motors, it could do C&C some damage & wake them up.
Borneo Motors refused to honour the 3 year warranty for my Corolla, even though I had sent my car faithfully back to them for servicing (S$400 each time, compared to just over S$100 elsewhere) and there's no mods to my car.
My 4 external rubber window seals are all warped and causes rain to seep into the cabin during downpour & when travelling above 100km/h, I get wind entering the cabin. Borneo refused to replace the faulty rubber seals, saying "This is normal". In fact, practically all Toyota owners in the Sigapore Toyota Club experienced this problem & they are all pissed off to. And it's no use writing in to complain.
So what I did over a few weekends was to make trips down to Borneo's showrooms and mingle amongst the crowd. And I managed to convince a few potential buyers to consider Toyota's competitors' brands. I warned them about the problem I faced with my almost brand new Toyota, and these potential buyers were shocked. I even led some of them to my car and showed them the problem. This sure turned them off.
Every lost sale to Borneo Motors is victory to me! And I have posted this problem I faced, in almost all other car websites
These car distributors should be taught to treat their customers with integrity, respect & some basic courtesy. -
It's pretty quiet in here today. Anyway, I saw my SA at the Century Square road show. She was quick to spot me. Chat up a little... didn't want to ask anything about my car.
Anyway, she said, I will get my car in the August shipment... inside, I was like... err... didn't you tell me July shipment?? I know what she is trying to do... she wants me to be prepared... you guys know that i have yet to secure my COE right? And out of no where, she said her company will bid for me when the car is about here... what!!!
So you see what she is trying to do? You guys anaylze yourself okay.
