Overall, not worth to get 8,9 or 10 years loan. The interest is higher. If u intend to sell with few years, you have to top up money just to sell the car. Best is minimum 10-30% downpayment and 7 years loan. Anytime sell also wouldnt lose money one.
A guide the loan company uses your gross salary must be 3.5 times that of your monthly instalment. Also they will check if you have any other loans and credit card debts.....this is to ascertain your approximate disposable income. -

Hi, I recently just join this forum and i saw this topic.
I have jus bought the new kia picanto too, sometime in June.
I made a booking for a black picanto, with leather seat.
What my sales rep told me is that i'll be getting the 2nd or 3rd shipment cause i told him i only wan the car in oct/nov. I need to get my 96' nissan march scrape before i can hold the new car.
i got my COE on my 1st bid. I wanted to add a roof spoiler but it was still unavailable for picanto.
Other than tt, i think mine is quite a simple car, no frills. But i'm thinking of including sport rim, v-cool later after i get the car.
Mine is a manual by the way. Prefer driving a manual car. -

I like the original spoiler of Picanto also, make it very sporty yet not beng.
Hoping to add the side skirt and fog lamp also in future when I got more cash. -

Ford Focus “Eats” Cerato
I test drove the Cerato auto today and was directly behind a test drive Ford Focus at a traffic light junction, waiting to turn right
When the arrow turned green, the Ford Focus blasted off like a F16. I floored the accelerator with all my might but the Focus looked like a speck of dust miles ahead. Soon, I lost sight of it, until I came to a halt at the next traffic light junction, side by side this German marque.
With OD (overdrive) turned off, hands firm on the steering wheel, and adrenaline rushing down my blood, my face flushed, my heart pumping at thrice the speed of lighting, I could feel the sweat glands on both my palm working at full load as I focused on the tarmac ahead, and turned to glance at my rival (aka Jackie Chan’s “Thunderbolt” style).
As we waited for the lights to turn green, the seconds seemed like hours. The green wave finally came, in Daytona-like fashion. VVRROOOOOOMMMMM !!!!! Off screamed the Focus. I did not stand a chance at all. For once, I though I was behind the wheels of a Picanto. Flabbergasted, I downshifted to ‘L’, and as the coarse Korean workhorse started to protest in anger, I thought “I am finally Killed In Action” (KIA).
While the heavy Cerato tops the scales at 1275kg, and is sluggish in pick up, I could not believe that it could lag that far behind, not even if the Focus were a manual version - unless the Focus had a NOS in the boot. -
I noticed that the warranty on the website is now 1 year not 3 years/100,000km.
I still can remember when I ordered the picanto, my SA told me is 3 years warranty. So how come now is only 1 year ?
So izit order earlier will get 3 years warranty , after Aug you only get 1 year warranty ? Can anyone confirm on this ? -
didn't get much of freebies.... only got this apple ipod, and the lucky draw thingy..... got a 288.....
couldn't squeeze much out of my SA...... probably he see me young...

I would say your SA is the one that make the different.

i read from the forum that there is a lot of problem in the picanto......
U noe why the shipment was delayed?? the ship carrying all the picanto for sales in asia pacifc sank when it collided with another ship..... i guess that's y all the delivery date was delay..... -

My SA told me 3 years warranty when I asked him whether its one year as in internet. But she never wrote down in black and white. I am also afraid its only one year. Think must ask her write down.Originally posted by clipfone:

Anyone bought sports rims?
My SA say I cannot choose the design. I paid for it, how come cannot choose. Worst still, I haven even see the design of the rims. Who know what I should do now? -

ur order is exactly the same as mine... but i trade in my ipod and pay another $700 for leather seats & alarm..oso got a $288 lucky draw... one good thing is im getting half of his commission back cos my fren(also a SA) knows him.. -

Just visited the Kia website and noticed that they have changed back the warranty to 3 years .
