Chevy Aveo is NOT a continental car. It is a rebadged Korean Daewoo Kalos.Originally posted by alpha01:Or you can also consider the Chevrolet Aveo 1.4 DOHC 16V 104bhp that comes with ABS. They said this car handling is good, not like the picanto quite bouncy. But one thing for this continental car is that the engine is a bit noisy although powerful. Selling at $55988 currently.
Congrats!! I'm happy for u....as for me I still gotta wait till next monthOriginally posted by tlchiam:I went down to settle the doc this morning.
Will get my car next week and also sign up for the rust coating for 380.
The car will come with 2 speakers only , black mirror and stripe. No card board or nothing. Trading in my ipod to exchange the reverse sensor and alarm. The side miror come with tilt knobe in the car.
Mine is a coblat blue and the stock will start to flock in as Singapore will secure the stocks from Korea, those buyer from Malaysia will have a loger wait.
Cheers !
For all info, i ask my SA if i want to cancel my booking, she told me since my COE already secured, have to pay $14000 for them to buy back the COE.Originally posted by Vit4WD:You have my deepest sympathy. I can understand how you feel... like being taken for a ride.
As stated my earlier thread, what you should do is to write to the C&C Managing Director and ask for a firm date that they will deliver your car, failing which C&C has to refund you your deposit in full, plus interest.
Kick up a fuss and victory is on your end.
U know who do the rust coating? By C&C or outside?Originally posted by tlchiam:I went down to settle the doc this morning.

For your height, although the Picanto will fit you, this means having to push your seat all the way back, and nobody except for toddlers can sit behind the driver's seatOriginally posted by fishaball:forgot to mention that I am quite tall. 1.75m.
Any problems fitting into the Pic?
Read thru the replies, it seems that there are more people asking me to consider others instead of getting the Pic. Strange isn't it? Since there was so much discussion about the car yet, it garners negativism instead.
If you are in casual wear, you will find it OK, but when you are dressed in long sleeves, pants and office shoes, you will find that you need to push your seats further back.Originally posted by lithiumix:I am 1.73m. Don't worry about what others say... if you have test driven the car, and if you think it suits you... go for it. I sometimes push my seat all the way back when I am wearing my shoes with people behind... and people behind is still fine. Of course FULL BIG SIZED adults are always a problem... (I don't think you will be bringing 4 BIG adults out all the time).Originally posted by fishaball:forgot to mention that I am quite tall. 1.75m.

Are you getting the car too? You will be very surprise what this little car can do for you. Very smooth and comfortable. Consumption, like I have been posting... very efficient car (probably because it's a very light car). Of course driving style makes a difference too.Originally posted by euphratis:anyone can comment how the car over performance so far?
I am only 171cm... bought four girls out for lunch last week... all fitted in nicely... and they think it's very spacious for a 1.1litre car (maybe most of them normally go into these two doors sports car their ex-colleagues used to drive).Originally posted by lithiumix:I am 1.73m. Of course they say spacious la. If they say very squeezing, they are implying they are fat. Haha.Originally posted by Vinsanne:I am only 171cm... bought four girls out for lunch last week... all fitted in nicely... and they think it's very spacious for a 1.1litre car (maybe most of them normally go into these two doors sports car their ex-colleagues used to drive).

The picanto don't come with rust proofing mah, either u send to outside or u let C&C do for you...Originally posted by picachu:why u pay to do the rust proof?
I looked at them all the time... they look okay behind... it's not as small as you many says it is... But I normally just take three, max for lunch... it's very comfortable for them I believe.Originally posted by picachu:Of course they say spacious la. The car is good sized for it's price.
As for a Proton WIRA. It's a very old engine (yes, proven)... but it's technology are old... noisy.

I am 1.8m tall. Test drive the picanto and realise that tall people really have to get use to their kness beside the driving wheel. I sat in the Rio also and realise, even if i pull the seat all the way back, my knees is still beside the sterring wheel.
