i think he doesn't know that the RS is aidless... and for sure EVO drivers aren't ladies. he's talking big n cheapOriginally posted by HaYasHiBaRa:Not of me to usually start a topic. But heard my friend ranting about Evos and their drivers...
Because to him, it seems that from Evolution IV to Evolution VIII, AYC has always been a part of the car. Since its a driver's aid, the car's drivers take it for granted and then they say the Evo drivers are spoilt silly with stuff like AYC and so forth. Calls the Evolution a LADIES' CAR. Hahaha... and the drivers? Ladies. LOL!!!
Thing is, he says that Evo drivers can't handle the WRX and other cars as effective as the Evolution.
What are your views about it huh guys?
michael schumacher is spoiled silly with a great car with all the electronics n stuff. do u see anyone calling him a lady?Originally posted by HaYasHiBaRa:Hahaha. I guess he's just biased. Well I guess he was talking about the GSR. Active Yaw Control and stuff are great. LoL~ But I won't go to the extent of saying an Evo driver who drives the car can't handle any other car...
mmm well sad to say neither subaru nor mitsu are doing particularily well now.Originally posted by HaYasHiBaRa:Hehe. Nope. Thats why I call him biased. Always ranting about the car aids and stuff. Hahaha... well I love both Mitsubishi and Subaru. But my money's still on Mitsubishi.Their new Lancer Evo for the WRC looks phreakingly weird. So different from the other Lancer Evos. The way the spoiler's attached. Heard that the chief engineer or whoever was from Peugeot previously? Hence this kinda hatchback kinda alike setup...
??? do u know wat is the hardest cars to handle.... those without power steering and without a gd braking system.....Originally posted by HaYasHiBaRa:Not of me to usually start a topic. But heard my friend ranting about Evos and their drivers...

u mean like my kart? rear brakes only, supershort wheel base and a very sensitive steering rack without power steering.Originally posted by Praetorian111:??? do u know wat is the hardest cars to handle.... those without power steering and without a gd braking system.....
This is a typical sour grapes argument.Originally posted by HaYasHiBaRa:Not of me to usually start a topic. But heard my friend ranting about Evos and their drivers...

i dunno wat to comment but i can only say that people who drives EVO always try to cut lanes and get to the most front whenver possible =)...its the same case whenever i sees the EVO. =)Originally posted by HaYasHiBaRa:Not of me to usually start a topic. Point being what?Originally posted by Praetorian111:??? do u know wat is the hardest cars to handle.... those without power steering and without a gd braking system.....
Yeah! Go kart racing is for men! Only when they grow older do the best drivers go on to drive Formula 1 cars with all that electronic gadgetry, which are only fit for women!Originally posted by HENG@:u mean like my kart? rear brakes only, supershort wheel base and a very sensitive steering rack without power steering.![]()
U againOriginally posted by brisance:Point being what?
In a sense, I agree with you, but I disagree that the drivers of yore are necessarily better than today's. In fact I feel that today's drivers are better, skillwise, and possibly in terms of physical fitness as well. The reason is that although technology has improved to allow average drivers to be better, it has also allowed good drivers to be legendary which is simply not possible with older technology. In other words, technology has raised the bar and on the whole, everyone is improving.Originally posted by Praetorian111:U again![]()
always very defensive towards EVO....
hahah
U got me all wrg dude.....U supporting me or against mee... I blur liao....

I am trying to explain that there is no difference handling a REX and an EVO.... It is more of a human factor... ur ability to adapt to any cars..... wat EVO drivers cannot handle a REX is totally out of point..... same goes to a REX driver cannot handle an EVO....
Those without such equipments like power steerings are pretty much cars be4 90s... if u have driven in those 1980s RX7 or 70s celica u will understand that it is rather difficult to handle such machines... and realise how fortunate one is now that it is equiped with gd technologies....
The next point being that those cars without power steerings and gd brakes actually are harder to handle than the ones with and equiped with such technology is true....
nowadays alot have been replace by electronics.... given the lack of electronics in the past a lot depends on the drivers skills and thus the level of skill needed is much higher.....

In the 1920s, it's not possible for a combat airplane to pull 9Gs because the airframe will simply come apart. Later on with the advent of better material engineering the plane can do 15Gs but the pilot will probably die first.
So, in that sense, if you apply it to motorsports, it's similar. Using an old race car, with poor tires, suspension technology etc, it could probably only do a corner at 80 kmh, but today's cars can do that at 140 kmh, does that not raise the limit? If the driver exceeds the limit, a spinout is still a spinout, doesn't matter if you have electronic assistance or not, everything still has to obey the laws of physics.
Dun worry I am not here to pick up fights..... I repect the fact that everyone has the rite to express their views and remain very objective abt it....Originally posted by HENG@:yo bri, prae.... chill out man.
