i'm not defending proton, but do you actually think that RM105,000 for a Toyota Altis 1.6 is worth the money?Originally posted by thomas_the_devils:welll....another cheating consumer money car.... and killing machine.....

lots of complaints abt the handbrakeOriginally posted by Praetorian111:The exterior looks very nice but the interior looks like those technology in the 90s.... especially the handbrakes... I find it very ugly.... But Proton has gone a long way... at least this model is nicer then the proton saga.....![]()

i totally agree. if the "protection" by the government was removed for Proton locally (they are currently tax-free locally, unlike other brands) they're surely gonna lose the local marketOriginally posted by PaulQ:The proton dealer says Gen-2 will be coming into SG. This is logical cos' SG is just across the causeway. Perhaps, it will be displayed in the coming Motor Show. However, the sporty look is one thing and the performance is another. As for the price, if it is same as Jap-branded cars, I rather take Jap brands.
i was thinking that you'll be asking for pinkOriginally posted by HENG@:nice in super purple. and nice rear.
The head room for this model is too low for the rear passenger's sit. I have try sitting at the back and I have to bend my head down. Wah lua... how to sit man like that.Originally posted by eutjin:saw this car up close and personal during my trip back last weekend
i must say that it's very impressive, especially the interior. i'm rather surprised to note that the interior beats the likes of the current Camry and Accord (in my opinion - maybe cause i prefer sporty interiors, like the IS200)
don't get me wrong, i'm not biased. it's just that i've always thought Proton interiors s*cks, but this car definitely changes my opinion
not bad for a car priced at RM53,000+. probably reach singapore's shores at SGD60,000+ (just a guess)
personally, i would choose this car over the Proton Waja priced at RM61,000+. afterall, both are 1.6L. a Civic costs more than RM100,000+ (so freakin' pricey)
however, heard some rumours that the 1st batch of automatic gear boxes are problematic (sigh .... msian-made, what can we ask for?). this doesn't really affect me though, coz manual rulez!
waiting time for delivery is 6 months! goodness gracious (great balls of fire)![]()
see the "mickey mouse" ears?? that's how my mum desribes it

you'll be surprised to find how much msians "bash" Proton. the company gives so many excuses for the lack of quality, often blaming them on lousy suppliers
that's just so dumb. if your supplier is lousy, why was the supplier chosen?? so typical![]()
well .... as with every new Proton model, lots of ppl are waiting for others to be guinea pigs![]()
