I need to renew my insurance so I need to compare the prices.
Age<30
1.6L sedan
30% NCD
Price to renew $850 (Nanyang Insurance)
I don't care about excess. And I am booking for a 2L car next month so I need to worry about the penalty/ rebate for switching policies within the period.

mine: $950 (with excess $500) for 1.5L saloon car with Inc**e....., no NCD...3yr car.... lesser market value

hey when a person buys a new car from the dealer does he get to choose the insurance company?

most car dealers, like BM, TC, C&C....all these companies provide a default insurance package.... come with rebates for the new car...
but u can find ur own insurance companies..... but most of us find it not worth....most of the time.... so first year...sure go with the default insuance company.....
the agent earns from our insurance premiums.....

My 1.6 civic 1st yr insurance costs me $12xx with 30% NCD. I actually also don't understand why so ex?
And how come some insurance can be <$1K for 1.5 or 1.6 car?

wa.... so high insurance..... must be killing man...... my car depreciating about 7k/yr......including insurance...almost a k... coming only to $8k/yr.....
