when will the legal driving age become 21?

ive heard that quite soon the legal driving age will change from 18 to 21. any idea what year exactly this law applies to? i'm born in 1987 and i really hope i dont have to wait til i'm 21 to drive....

For me, I've heard that rumour speculating about for the past 7 years.

from few years ago i too heard about it. I guess it is just rumous.
But weather it is 18 yrs old or 21 years old makes no different to me

this 21 yr old thing is maybe just wanna call ppl to learn faster heard quite a few yr ago .mi also born 1987 should be able to take licence next yr

I went to driving centre and ask b4. They told me once u r 18, u can learn driving. I'm oso born in 1987. Hoping to get my licence soon then can go around spore wif a CAR!

First is getting your license.. then after that, you'll have to see if at the age of 18, you can actually manage to afford to buy a car and maintain it... in Singapore, it's not easy... for 2nd hand car, you'll have to fork out at least $700-$1k a month for all the payments, mnaintenance and fuel, parking, fines... everything...
That's y I rent them!! Hehe...

Now driving licence....no need to renew.... juz pay $50.... for life.... last time....need renew yearly.....$20/yr..... good now hor.....still no need to remember your passing date...... and dutifully renew.....
i think up the legal age to 21..... not likely lah.... coz 18 u go army...take rifle to protect our country....our lands...our homes..... use this logic... the ga-ver-men always cant go bac kon its words.... haa haa

i'm only planning to buy car in my mid-20s. maybe earlier... if i can get a uni scholarship then i can use the money my parents saved up for my uni education to buy
must study hard now. -
So far it's ok for me... managed to use the cars they have... and with around 30+ stations around Sg, I doubt you can't find one which has a car for you... From my place, I can get to at least 5 stations to pick up a car... Hahah....$1K is if you put 30% downpayment. For 2nd hand car is even worse, some dun even put downpayment and interest is at 2.7% (usual, unless u deal with bank direct).
Why buy a car... take bus.
