I realised that my sunny ex saloon abit strange...when my speed is ard 90-100km/hr, my RPM is ard 2100-2200rpm..and when reaching 120km/hr, its rpm is near ard 2.5krpm...y is this? How can i reduce the RPM or rather set it to 2.2-2.3krpm when the speed is 120km/h? Also i found that the fuel consumption is higher when my RPM is high...
I also realised that when picking up, my car is slower compared to any other cars...eg: Hyundai Accent,Matrix,Kia, Lancer,Imprezza, and worse still same car model as me...ex saloon...y is this so???

2100-2200rpm at 90-100km/h is a little low, I am surprise your car idle did not cause the car to stall.
Based on efficiencies of gear ratio, 2500rpm is highly unlikely.
Pick up wise, you never know cause the other car may be going on a higher RPM than you, unless you are going for a benchmark test. -

Engine is loud & rough becoz u got little sound insulation. U try to drive a lexus, at 4000rpm, it will most prob sound as loud as ur sunny at 2000rpm.
Yup, u can tune to 2.1K at 110km/hr.
But first, u must get a bigger engine and a changed gearbox.
Alternatively, juz change a car. Try those 2litres cars...mgt get the 2.1K at 110km/hr.

Perhaps install the Airmax 2 will let u have better fuel consumption..
For those car who is faster than u in picking up is perhaps they "floored" their accelerator?

for pickup....think it depend on how you floor your accelerator.... if you are heavy footed, you will go fast.....if you are normal depressing, cant expect the car to fly.....

I see...maybe other drivers floored their pedals..i only normal acceleration...so is it normal then that my car is hitting 2.5krpm at 100km/hr-110km/hr???

relax. 2k rpms at ard 100 km/hr is low by any measure. i mean, most cars idle at 700 rpms, travel 100 plus km/hr u want rpm to be how low? later stall halfway when u turn on ur headlights and aircon then pengz lor! btw, my rpms are hitting above 3k rpms around those speeds on 6th gear.
you can only adjust ur idle rpm. no way to change ur rpm vs speed ratio unless u swap out ur gear ratios altogether. these come fixed per car type.
i'd assume u r driving an automatic? its normal for the car to feel "sluggish" when u floor the accelerator compared to a manual one. takes time for the viscous torque convertor to "speed up" compared to the directness of a manual.
when ur rpms are high, naturally ur fuel consumption will be. i'd like to see one that does the opposite. concerned drivers should juz drive slower next time. -

flooring your accelarator will definitely increase your fuel consumption.
for rpm at any speed (except 0), anything between 2 - 3k you should be fine, else just shift the gear. -
haha...actually my definition of blowing off my engine's abit too extreme....i'm juz afraid that flooring my accel. too much might deteoriate the engine...

Your car is built to meet ur driving expectation.... flooring your accel pedal does not harm your engine..... try it....do it safely....

2100rpm for 110km/h is bery low....for normal it should be 2200 - 2500..

It depends on ur car..... But car with bigger engine capacity can be co-related with having a lower RMP.....
