hi peeps!....
finally will be collecting my sunny EX saloon this friday after delaying for one week...
anyone driving this model would like to share any tips/experience with this car? any comments are welcome...
ps: i still dont get it why some say it is 'an old man' car....i find the sunny classy...for those who are not that rich that is...

styling is a very personal choice..... the external design is good, but I heard that this car is pretty high petrol drinker.... any1 wat to dispute this....... lack power too..... all because of its heavier weight.

oso heard that after 6 mth or so lost of power even after the service. anyone?

Agreed with Ghee...pertol consumtion quite high.Power wise still ok lah for a 1.6L car.Though i think the power of the car came after 3000rpm.But if u rev over the 3000rpm so frequently,I think yr best friend will be the uncle in the pertol koisk.
Perhaps u can try to fix the Airmax2 to yr car to bring down the fuel consumtion.Heard frm my friend say quite gd,though he crazy,ao install 2 of them... -

Nowadays, young gals love "uncles' mah...... drive uncle car... good de...... hee hee hee
Overall, toyota and nissan.....good lah...... honda and mitsubishi for younger generation......
alamak.... forget to mention.... most pple say becoz they are uncle car.... their insurance also lower.... becoz of the overall profile of the pple driving them.... they less likely to chiong!!! -

the above number are those who ramp most or all the time, if crurising will be covering more km/l. -

Airmax2 is a mirco-compressor that will force more air to yr air intake system,resulting in more power n torque.n also, save fuel..
power/torque increase, i think is abt 10 - 15%.Most of my friend install this or E68(same function) in their car n say quite gd.As for me i didnt install..No $...Ha ha...Cos i m saving $ for bigger 'Project'..

brasilia94: I guess if you can maintain your Sunny to fuel consumption of about 11km/litre. That will be fine..... good
According to my friends who own Sunny 1.5EX Auto Pre-FL, the fuel consumption can sometime be as low as 9+ to 10+ km/litre....
Fuel consumption is also affected by your driving habit, travelling pattern, the load that you are carrying (eg. passengers and those things that you load in your boot)...
But fuel consumption is only one aspect of owning car.... the handling and drive comfort play an even more important play.... so enjoy your ride with your Sunny.....

Have anyone heard about the new Sunny that will be release soon? It's already out in the Japan market. Originally known as the C-note. Supposed to be based on the Megane Hatch version. Thinking of getting an extra car for my wife. Thus waiting for the new version.

Wah!! the new model is out but
the 2001 model is nicer than the newer one leh.
My cousin has a '01 Sunny and when we looked at the nissan cars in the police acedemy,he siad that the older sunny is better compared to the newer model. -

Autodesigns is selling at $148.No sure if it include installation fee.U can call them @ 65665912.
Dun worry,i not salesman or work for them k?i changed my Spitfire sparkplugs there @ $68.Got $10 discount.Of course,tat time i go down to change in groups.4 of us...I think their service not bad.

exterior - beautiful (partly becos its black! hee hee)
Interior - not bad (its black too! So look more sporty so pplz dont say its ah pek car)
FC - very true I think about the high consumption. I pumped full tank last Sat, clocked only 480km up til today and still going but not last click liao before it goes to E. New car some more, so very the high worrrrrrrr
I will be contradicting myself if i discourage u to buy cos I not happie with the FC too but like wat was mentioned earlier,dont let wat others say affect u.....

I used to drive a Sunny, had about 10+km/l FC too. It was about 1 over years old. I think the newer sunny looks good, and i believe it was as comfy. My other frustration is with the power, or lack of it... . i wonder if the new ones are ok?
