What's the highest rpm you people have ever pushed your car to?
mine was 4000-4500... was trying to see if my car can really do a sprint from Zero to 100kph in 11s...
then i heard stories abt damaging the engine if u pump it too hard over a short period of time. so nowadays, i start and control my car and move off at 2000rpm maxed on normal roads, and 2500rpm on the expressway...
how abt u people? -
me dun ramp the engine rpm to too high like 4,000...... for better fuel consumption.... better to maintain between 2000~3000 rpm range.....

my car can rev up to 9000rpm no worries
love the feelin of being pushed into the seat and seein cars disappearing into the rear mirror

U will not damage ur engine unless u drag gear for a prolong period...... orelse ur car is turbo or supercharged... The 11sec is not really achivable.... maybe sightly out like 11.3 will be achievable..... -

but u need to redline it once in awhile to 'exercise' the car mah...
italian tuning i say....
but pls... only do it on the NS highway. -
Ya i love to push the car to the redline and hearing the engine making noise when driving at high rpm at lower gear.
But dunno whether TP will fine u for doing so.

hey bros..... juz wonder how u all manage to push your rpm to so high.....>5000rpm....
mine 1.5L manual....gone to NS highway.... 150km/h.... rpm still in 4000+ range...... not even touching 5000rpm..... somemore the car alreadi vibrating like hell....... almost like want to fly alreadi.....
to go beyond 5,000rpm..... I think u all must be travelling beyond 160km.... more like 180km/h....rite..... -

do this okie....
1. release the gas pedal
2. clutch in
3. change to gear 4
4. slowly release clutch and step on the gas at the same time.
u'll see your rpm shooting up
... if still cannot redline to 6500rpm u might wanna use the same method and drop down to gear 3 instead. but warning arh... everytime u redline, upshift to the next higher gear within the nex few secs... u dun wanna drag and blow ur engine over nutting.... -
i've hit 14000 rpms.
