[b]Nissan Sunny Problems ..??[/b]

Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for new car but still cannot decide either Lancer or Sunny. One thing i do concern of petrol consumption and engine.
Hardly come across forum about sunny performance or any other issue. Is it less problem compare to other japanese car?
Please advice.

i suggest buying the 1800cc Lancer Turbo as it is packed with power, do not choose the sunny as its is an 'old man car' and has very little power.

Fuel efficiency.. you should check out the Lancer as it uses CVT.
Sunny's one is not very sunny... -

I heard from friends that Lancer's fuel consumption is no good.... heavy drinker....if not as bad as Sunny..... CVT technology...need religious maintenance...good luck!

If you want to get a lancer, you'd better get the Evo ... cause it is just like the impreza and the WRX -
If this is your first car & you must buy brand new, then I suggest that you not commit too much on it. A car with reasonable power, yet affordable would be the Proton Wira 1.3, selling at only S$53K. Annual depreciation is only S$4,800.
And you can get lots of cheap spare parts up North.

I have experience in driving both.... i used to drive a Nissan Sunny and now having a Lancer 1.6.
Go for the Lancer! Sunny lacks power terribly.... frustrating whenever trying to overtake or climbing up a slope. The fuel comsumption is also not better than Lancer. Sunny may be quite comfy, but given their similar price now, i really can't see a reason in choosing a Sunny over Lancer....

honestly, i feel both cars are pretty fine in their own little ways.
and Mitsu is NOT closing down. they are seperating from the DaimlerChrysler group. -
My friend bought a Lancer 1.6 last year and still Kao Bie Kao Bu since day one until now....Just sold my Sentra(Malaysia Sunny), ya la... no power lo... not so heavy drink la..buy Toyota... petrol consumption is good.. but compare to SE attitude even "BETTER". Good luck...

Cars are expensive... might as well put in a little more and get something you're going to be happy with. Do not get something underpowered just to save a little money (what a little money is depends on the individual)... You'll regret!!! -

You sure? I've had 4 Vtecs in the last 10 years and always been a huge Honda supporter. Never heard of a Vtec stretching a litre for 17km. -
