Cost for OPCs differs from normal plate by:Originally posted by mt2000:What's the cost like? More interested on how insurance costs are for OPCs
Juz hpn I wuz discussing wif a fren yesterday abt OPC ... heard dat u get additional $2200 on ur parf for each year u hold on to ur OPC ... on top of that a reduction of $800 on road tax annually, so quite abit of savings. Only thing is dat can only drive before 7am & after 7pm (i think) but can still pay $20 2 drive outside off peak .... so not dat bad ... me thinking of converting my car 2 OP ...Originally posted by mt2000:Hi all,
Just wondering if anybody had registered for off peak cars? Seems like there's none....considering getting one but would like to know more about the differences compared to normal cars![]()
Based on 1.6l car, normal plate road tax is 950, OPC (-800) = 150 pa. Many pplz say OPC are for those with absurd working hours or need not /dont want to use car during peak period (e.g got transport, dont wanna spend on ERP etc.)Originally posted by j19021974:Ya true, insurance the same, but R.tax very cheap. My 1.1cc Picanto is only $50/yr.
