TP on fri...any advices or tips???

hope to pass on the first try...cos dont wanna waste $$ n time
any tips from you seasoned drivers here? -
be confident...act confident if u must.
mi think the tester wanna see u in control of the car and obey safety...

because when the TP pass you. on the spot you can drive outside liao along with the big boys.
so you must show him you have the confidence and abilities of a qualified driver and the responisbility to be safe for both yourself and the other road users.
be humble and polite. greet the tester with a smile. they are only humans too.. and a good impression always helps.
he give you an instruction.. be responsive and say "Yes Sir"
make a mistake.. be modest and say "Sorry Sir"
also be alert to notice things like road hazards and reacting early and accordingly.
one thing they like to see is also your abilities to change lane and might purposly give you late instructions and see how you react.
So take it easy, check everything and steer in gently, confidently.
impress him and make them feel safe in your car..and you'll get your licence.

The "Good Morning Sir", "Yes Sir" , "No Sir", "Sorry Sir", etc stuff works for me too, dunno why also, when I greet them ala Army style, they seems happier and friendlier. be confident, and remember: Safety first!!!
try to be relaxed when taking the test, if you're relaxed, you will look confident and do everything confidently. i remember during my test, i got so carried away with being relaxed that i actually stoned when making a right turn. the tester even scolded me for being "day-dreaming". haha
but i still believe that it is because of being relaxed and confident that makes me passed eventually.
i got a 12pointer. haha -

Simple lah ... dun talk to the TP ... just those yes sir no sir 3 bloody fools will do ...
remember to check the blind spot and safety check in the circuit .. then parking that time ... dun lazy check left froont right back for safely .....
Dun kan cheong ... be cool ... take some mint sweet to keep yourself alert ....
at least with those advice above you can be like me 3pointer for TP only ...

hmm... i feel tat u should act really confi, though u r nervous deep down lor... coz once u pass, u can drive on the road st way liao... so drive as though as u r a seasoned, qualified driver lor... cool, calm n composed.
Some very impt factors to tak note of:
1. Blind - spots: Mak sure u check ur blind spot when u doin a turn, b4 changin lane, in circuit so, before u do the narrow courses...
2. Lane changing: Make sure is safe to go in, don too kan cheong, wait tester angry... feel tat u not a safe driver... but cannot over careful. wait he feel tat u not qualifed enough to be able to drive... Don forget to signal! N don insist go in when people don give way...
3. Stop line: Stop first, wait for a while, then move off. If u stop a little while only and st way move off, tester dunno u got stop or not. wait kena penalised...
4. Always give way to pedestrians... don horn at them!
5. Repeat to urself! i am a qualifed driver! hee hee... drive lik one, but be cautious abit la.... don reckless...
6. U guy i assume? Best don wear slippers, better wear shoes. heard people failed, esp guys for wearin slippers!
7. I strongly belive in givin the tester a gd, smooth ride... he comfortable comfortable, higher chance of passin when he happy ma! heehee... don let the ride be jerky!
8. Traffic lights - very tricky leh... coz if say green arrow on, can move, flashin, mus stop. so best is approachin traffic junction, leg jus cover the brake. in case suddenly turn amber, can stop smoothly...
9. When approachin road hazards, slow down n so must cover brake... tester the eyes hor, dunno make of wat one! haha. they ways notice all tis kind of small details, eg, u got cover foot brake when approachin road hazards...
10. Sway sway, at the side of the road, got cyclists... keep as far as possible from them lor... mayb can share lane.... don forget signal if u share lane hor...
11. After u turn, right turn, don forget to keep back left hor... but u stay in ur lane for a while first, then slowly keep left. u go keep left st way, the feel not so gd ah...
12. See yellow box, mak sure stop behind it wor!
** (13), unlucky no... haha, dun put it down... use ** better... u change lane hor, dun only use side mirror. mus use rear mirror so... i heard from my inst one... one of his student kena taught by tester to use the rear mirror when changin lane... me from school de...
14. oh ya... tis is impt so... the speed limit is 50km/hr, unless other wise stated, eg, 70, then u can travel bout 60km/hr lik tat... normal road, 50 km/hr only... over the speed limit, immediate failure leh! sometimes a bit over the limit, eg, when u changin lane tat time is ok, so long as u quickly go back to 50km... n circuit hor, max speed is 30km/h only!

i just passed my tp 1st try last fri. where u taking? anyways, heres a few tips. dress decently and smartly. recommended dressing is shirt and pants. I wore long sleeved shirt with pants, tucked in, and leather belt. Be courteous, greet the tester, and follow all instructions. Do not be nervous, be cool and calm, be careful, and remember all the things u have learnt. B4 the test, mentally revise thru your lessons, take note of what your weaknesses are, and make a conscious note to avoid them. Remember not to drive too fast, to give yourself enough time to react to or comply with any situation or last minute instructions given by the tester.

Try to sleep even if you can't... ample rest will up your focus and radiance.
I was so excited and nervous... i couldn't. Tossed and turned on the bed the whole night...lol..
Anyway really be calm and control your mind instead of letting your nervous mind control you.
I wasen't very nervous at the briefing room but when I learned that I was assigned to a feirce TP which shocked everyone in the briefing room when he scolded and mocked the girl he was debriefing her....infront of all of us which was in the breifing room waiting... I felt like a wreck and sian half even before the test liao... damm demoralising.
I was so nervous initially that my left leg was trembling... I was so worried it'll just give way and stall the engine... and worse..my first circuit item was the parallel parking.. so the trembling of my left leg caused the car to suddenly surge backwards as I was reversing side ways into the slot and the surge, strike and knocked down a pole... very very very sian...
"the pole so inside you still can hit.." he sneered.
But remember..if that is to happen to you... don't give up.. don't let it affect your road driving..... I didn't..so I still passed in the end!

Greet them doesn't help for mi..from my experience..coz i met a guai lan instructor..I smile n greet him...He nv even take a glance at me and juz sae U can start now..I thought i sure fail coz i tink my whole tp test last for around 5-10mins.Coming back, the testor open the door even b4 i stop the car..Den he juz walk off..Luckily, i still managed to pass..haha.
What i suggest is u muz be relax and confident...remind urself of ur own weak areas and don't do silly mistake during the test...U muz keep reminding urself...dats i do when i have my tp test and it helps -
1. dun act smart...oso dun b too blur lah...just b yourself
2. ask u not to kan cheong definately cannot rite cos u first time sure kan cheong one...relax just obey instructions u will b fine..
3.dress smartly dun over do it...wear a polo tee tuck it..be presentable...
4. dun go b a boot licker....best dun crap with him..
5. check all blind spots,rear mirrior once every 10-20 sec lah to b on the safe side...check the right n left mirror too...
6. try not to b too slow or fast...50km/h-65km/h is fine liao.overtake when neccessary...cause if u too safety..they will minus ur points too..but oso den b too fast lah...moderate will do
7. try not to jerk the car drive smoothly....if later he complainhe sit in ur car till wan to vomit...
8. not sure of anything ask politely...dun sit there diam diam like a fool......
think that should b all lah....dun worried tomolo morning go practice remember dun b nervous treat it as u r going fr point A to point B ok.... -
so how? did u pass? anyways, wad Reutral said is quite true. the nite b4 i had probs falling asleep. then when i DID fall asleep, i kept waking up every roughly 2 hours... with nightmares that i was late for the test! didn't help that i had a last revision lesson at 8.30 that morn. luckily i managed to pass. 1st attempt.

recomend him some ktv, nightclubs, pubs, say report your name got discount.
then when he is about to tell u the result pass/fail, give him an early new year ang bao.
if all the above dun work? tell him you got 2 lorry of friends outside waiting for you. -

hm... i passed my TP first time also... that day woke up late. rushed there in bermudas and slippers.... lidat also pass i boh wei gong also.
anyways the most important thing is the tester asking me to sign a donation card for his son la... so i donate 10 bucks and he just deducted me 6 points.
oh yah i think i only did half the designated route, no filter lanes, no bus lanes(even though bus lane operation hour), no u turns.
