Recommended budget car for a person who just passed?

Anybody can recommend a small car for me who has just got the license?
Would like to apply for the off-peak car scheme since I dun need a car during normal days.
Thinking of getting a used car that only have one or two yrs left, till my driving skills is better then get a new one....
What are the hidden costs of owning a car ? -
daihatsu storia...that car is fun 2 drive although its FF....small in size...the parking is not a prob....cheap 2 maintain also....

that shld be the one....front wheel drive is nto a prob cos this car is small.....small cars with FF tend 2 be more balanced....

naaa too many problems ... get the Toyota G7 or G8 .. it is better
