Drivers are advised to drive slower and on their High-Beam to alert pedestrians and other drivers. Drivers could also stop their car at the side of the road and switch on and keep their hazardlights on if they are on the expressways and they deem the situation too dangerous to carry on driving.

traffic lights are out too...higher chance of collison at junctions if courtesy is not applied

i just came back from my hols and it was damn fun drivin in complete darkness man!! damn cool!!
jus conc on the lane markings wif ur headlights.
den u can drive pretty safely.
usually only use high beams at bends to warn the other lane pple.
can also horn when drivin ard bends to warn the other side.
otherwise shud off the high beam.. coz v glaring to other drivers... -
traffic lights simply tap into the grid,, is also knock out at various locations.
at junctions, it usually degrades into a "who dares win" -

And the problem is not the blackout. It's that there are too many junctions. -
